This was lovely performance of a favourite song. Than you for editing it together! I wonder if people stopped spite-disliking since YT stopped showing Dislike counts. Now it's just part of the algorithm that looks for stuff to present to you. I'd still be curious to know how many people actually mark this with a "dislike."

@@inja3553 Is it important? Naah. Am I still curious? Sure. I think all people are capable of feeling and expressing respect and love, but I also think they can be, and frequently are, manipulated into spewing vitriol even if their organic reactions are far less intense. They're posturing with the hatred/dislike because they've been exposed to it so much that they do so to win or maintain the respect of people "in their group." (I've even fallen into this myself!) Eventually, it becomes so normalised, they do it on their own. I have almost always used the "Dislike" button to steer the algorithm. If I disagree with the hypothesis on offer, I'll articulate a rebuttal as clearly and concisely as I can. Happily - and more often than not - it results in dialogue, growth, and maturity, and not just on my part! :-) Thanks for taking the time to remind me there are others who understand music is a language all its own; the right sequence of notes can impart an emotion (even on a toy piano!), the right choice of sounds can make that message even clearer, and layering builds on that...there's so much research yet to do in this. I suspect and hope that AI will not only find such things and make them easily accessible to composers who might not yet know it, but deploy it to help us regulate and even modulate our own emotions. Though I'd rather see AI resources pointed at precision medicine (or "personalised medicine") first. Lives are at stake! Cheers! Steve
