Iam from remote area Answer. >Gs ghure was early Indian sociologist who used indological perspective to understand Indian society. >Ghure was influenced by sir william John who established Royal asiatic society of bengal to understand Indian society through Indian perspective. It is begining of indology approach. > Ghure indology claims that Indian society is unique in structure function and dynamic, so, it cannot be associated with western society. > culture was main theme of indological perspective to understand Indian society > indology relies on book view not empirical view. > indological perspective believes that ancient text, mythodoloical are real account of Indian society. > According to ghure Indian society is melting pot of various culture, religious, values, language etc. > Ghure used 3 method ro enrich his indological perspective. These are follows 1) sanskrit + vernacular > Ghure used sanskrit language to explain Indian society and culture was extensivly qouted from vedas, purans, shastras, epics etc . 2)Diffusionist method > Being a student of Prof River ghure used this method to explain the evolution of caste ans culture synthesisof society. > according to this method Indian culture is mixing of various values, culture, etc but later switch to indological perspective ro explain indian society . Feature of indology 1) it relies on Indian approach not on western approach 2) it used theoretical view not empirical view. 3) it emphasis on indian text , language, belief, etc Criticsm 1) Andre baitellie criticise to ghure that indological appproach was hindu centric view. 2> he being criticised for not conducting field view only relies on theoretical view..
