They were Zeon's last chance to maintain their independance. And the ONLY iteration of Zeon to not immedeatly attempt omnicide on a civilian populace. The Sleeves were the last, dying breath of Spacenoid Independance. Never let it be said that they went quietly.

As far as I remember The only other Zeon remnant groups aside from the Zeon remnants on earth and Neo Zeon remnants (Sleeves) that managed to stay I think after CCA was ReZeon and Mars Zeon, but these two groups are fighting each other on mars instead of fighting for Spacenoid independance

I'm more of a federation guy, but man. Do I love the sleeves. Their mobile suits are so cool, and I pretty much prefer every version of a zeon suit from unicorn because they just look so badass with those sleeve markings. I wish we got to see more of Quess's repaired Jagd Doga because the color scheme is so nice, and it looks really cool with the Geara Doga arm and backpack. That Regelgu was also really badass, I wish he didn't die immediately. Also, I LOVE the Geara Zulu and its variants. It's probably my favorite zeon grunt mobile suit.

Good job on the video 🎉 ! I really can feel the determination of the Sleeve for not giving up on the war, and even try to change the outcome from this edit. When Zeon is losing the war, the Sleeves is still fight, and holding the frontline. Their number may be less, but every soldier or unit is elite, they won’t be easy to defeat.

Gouf Heavy Arms Type

It's from the old MSVs. In fact, I think this might have been the first time the Gouf Heavy Arms Type was ever animated. I know 2 versions of the Gouf Flight Type made it onto the screen, During the invasion of Jaburo in Zeta and the others in The 08th MS Team, but I think this brief shot in UC was it for the Heavy Arms Type. I guess in the Manga, he got lost and never made it to Torrington for the battle and gave up and decided to help rebuild this random ruined out city he came across...which was post-battle Torrington. Better late than never I suppose.
