Honestly so happy that Mikal got traded somewhere where he can get an opportunity to be the main guy. I can see him being a more durable Kawhi.

He’s a complimentary player. Best fits as the 3rd-5th best guy on ur team. He will never be a 1 n lucky if he is ever a 2 on a borderline playoff team

Players do not suddenly become something. He always was that. But nba culture of stars and the rules that nurture it means that one or two player-heroes are going to dominate in half-court offense. Great contrast with the maximization of individual contribution to team success that is nurtured in Europe where the rules reflect actual competitive basketball and not glorified street ball.

He has always been good, he just wasn’t even a second option on offense that’s all, but in a team with nobody’s that good, i can showed up as a top offensive player. There is a lot of player which are in that situation in the NBA

Where else do you find a player like Mikal Bridges that's never injured, great in the locker room, and this affordable??
@marcr196 Жыл бұрын
Suns fan here, love Mikal! I do wonder if his defensive intensity stays there through the entire season while being a number one offensive option. The energy he has to exert offensively compared to when he would mostly be a spot up shooter and cutter coupled with the fact he never misses a game makes me think he'll take a bit of a drop defensively. Plus, the Nets don't need him to be an all-NBA defender, given that they have many quality defenders around him.

Love this guy already. He doesn't miss games and he's so active on both ends. Plus, the chemistry on the Knicks is a band of brothers.

Bridges used those long arms to his advantage. Look how he attacks? He’s not that fast, he just put the ball as far as he can and can dribble like that to the basket.

So far the BK Nets have found ways to build dynamic teams, after the JT & JB blunders. They had D-Lo, Lavert, Spencer & Allen, blew the team up, found great pieces to compliment KD/ Ky & Harden, then blew that team up and found success again w/ their current roster. Hopefully they continue to develop their roster and reach the playoffs. The Knicks and Nets aren’t far from being serious contenders in the East since most of the stars will be aging out in the next 5 years. BK especially has a great young core that can grow in depth, but it will be up to management decisions to further develop their staff.

Man I listen to u talk and I just heard another video referencing cam Johnson Spencer Dinwiddie and nic Claxton n think. Why does people not think with dame Lillard this team is a contender. Hell I'd go as far to say they would be favorites for me. They have the picks and players to make tht trade without ruining there core to. Idk how this isn't what everyone is talking about.
@Sai4651 Жыл бұрын
9:33 - Tired of the Cam Thomas disreprect, do people not understand that he's an All-Star level Guard right now with All-NBA level potential? Once he gets opportunity, whether it be on the Nets for somewhere else, he'll show you his 3 straight 40 points games wasn't a fluke
@SLExtra-xc4mv Жыл бұрын
Looks good when we makes shots. But there is no player in the league with worse tunnel vision than him. He only passes when he absolutely has to
@Sai4651 Жыл бұрын
@@SLExtra-xc4mv That’s such a fixable problem. And to be fair, he hasn’t really had an opportunity to pass because whenever he plays, it’s when half the team is injured and it makes sense for him to just take tough shots.
@marcr196 Жыл бұрын
@@Sai4651 Mindset isn't fixable if the player doesn't want it to be. There's a reason his coaches haven't played him even if its not obvious to people watching. At the NBA level coaches won't just sit a guy who has as much talent as you say regardless of weaknesses or attitude.
@Sai4651 Жыл бұрын
@@marcr196 Then it’s a failure on the coaches. Cam Thomas has the most valuable skill in the NBA, on ball shot creation. Even if you take him as is, the fact that he doesn’t play when he has the skill to do so says more about how bad Nash and Vaughn are then it does about Cam Thomas

I think Cam is a bad teammate. He’s always the last to stand up and cheer. Coaches know he’s talented but he’s got problems.
