Slick swipes on a black background, 3D effect with a hidden pillow base scoop and drag bloom recipe

Classiest and hotest color combination there is! Red and gold on black!
I'm hiding my white Pillow paint under black mixed in my pouring medium. If you swipe deep or perform a scoop and drag you can reveal some of that hidden pillow underneath which brings out an incredible depth.

My Pouringmedium
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
Paints mixed with my PM:
for the background:
amsterdam - oxide black
Firedots - pearl black (Discount code below!)
For the swipe
Golden - interference gold
TLP - Grenache
boom gel - willie wag tail black
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)

golden - deep gold

The spinner I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single workstep is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)

DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.

Classy and elegant color choices. I love your white pillow ghosting through. Maybe it was the music mid-way through the scoop and drag that gave me a Tim Burton/Jim Jarmusch/Tom Waits moment and I spotted the dragon head at the far right below the white pillow ghost. Just lovely Jennifer.

Tom and Kathleen were regulars at my restaurants in Sonoma County since 1995 - their daughter is a wonderful artist and had her first show at my first restaurant. Last I heard one of his sons was working there. I left in 2016 and live in France.
