Loving these episodes (can't wait for next one) alongside your Hadrian's wall playthroughs. I don't have Eldritch Horror but it is calling like the Siren's song. Alongside Gaming Rules you definitely create some of the best content.

Jim was cursed, so he only had one success. Thankfully the epic monster was dead, so he wouldn't have had to encounter it anyway. Akachi had a great plan. Probably worth it to spend clues to reroll with 4 monsters on the space =D. Shriveling is an action, so Norman wouldn't have been able to do it during the encounter. You mention it earlier, but it's easy to forget while recording.

Hi love the playthrough of this brilliant game! At 16:20 the Shriveling spell is an action test. If I'm correct you can't play this spell in the encounter phase?

At 17:21 you could use a sanity to get a clue and do a reroll for it.

You actually can get Travel Tickets with a monster on your space. I don't know why, but according to the rules you can. I guess monsters shy away from mass transit for some reason

@25:00 Jim should have acquired the Sanctuary Asset which would have let him discard his Cursed Condition.

0:39 - Jim is cursed, he only rolled one success (rolled a 1, 5, 6). Only 6's count as successes when cursed and therefore you would have had to encounter the monster immediately.

​@@theercs David Ko was right - my mistake on the timestamp regarding encountering the monster. Cursed still, but it would have made no difference to the outcome. 16:06 - Shrivelling spell. Again as David pointed out, it's an action and therefore not valid to use during the encounter phase.

What are the monster cards sleeved in?

All Sleeve Kings, they’re cheaper than premiums it’s a nice halfway point between one too thin or too thick when you’ve got a lot of cards 🙂

I use 35mm coin sleeves/wallets/envelopes for my monster tokens. It's a snug fit. The trick is to warm them up a little before inserting the token. Other people use slightly larger ones. The eBay listing I used is gone but it was called "400 35mm X 35mm Plastic Coin Wallets Storage Envelopes". There are a number of threads about these over on Board Game Geek.

Not the normal sleeves. The ones on the monsters. Isn’t that for coins? The square ones with a flap.

Oh right! Yes they’re 1.5” coin envelopes with the flaps cut off a bit so they’re not covering up much text
