Interesting. I have a van and I appreciate that it has heating and is very comfortable but I also have to make the bed up every night from the seating area and think I may upgrade to a bigger van.

Thanks you! If travelling long term it is nice to have everything where you can set it up and leave it. We did consider a van for this trip but we really wanted to do a lot of off road tracks so needed a good vehicle. If we were not doing places like the Gibb River Road and the Bungle Bungles, we may have taken comfort over the off road options.

Once you sell your home would you consider doing van life? I think you said you were selling your van though.

Hello! Hope you are keeping well. Not to start as I really want you to spend time in Asia but maybe in the future. I would like to get a van to tour Nee Zealand and maybe the East side of Australia and in each case would buy one there and resell it. I would obviously be spending 6-12 months this time! I am selling my van in the UK which I love but I do not intend to stay here. In the future maybe and I would buy again. I quite like van life (hard shell vehicles)! I would actually live in one full time in the UK and be happy x

@@RetireandTraveltheWorld I live in New Zealand, but I've done some happy go lucky sorta car deals that have worked out really well. I am fully aware that my approach could go pear shaped. I also live in a really ridiculously low budget so have been able to dodge having to do much car repairs. Certainly if you got the time to find the right used vehicle you can onsell it to similar to what you paid for it but you absolutely cannot be in a rush to find something.

Absolutely, I may have to seek your assistance when the time comes. Thanks for that information and I will bear it all in mind. x

@@RetireandTraveltheWorld Ok I'm not gonna pretend to be some sorta automotive expert. I just sorta go with gut feel which aint 100 percent reliable.
