Reddit is my only "social" media platform, for niche applications, games, and hobbies, its been the only source of credible, verifiable information. The more niche, the better the content becomes. I am 100% sure that it will be enshittified, probably soon but until then, its the best there is.

I have just unsubbed from Reddit - losing 3 years of activity and 1000s of karma. The biased moderators and the endless crap from teens living their parents' basements finally did my head in. There are some good posters there - but they get down-voted to oblivion because the truth and real experience clash with the kiddies 'beliefs' & wishes rather than being down-voted for being wrong. TBH it's quite nice having my life back!

What we’ve learned: be nice on Reddit to make sure that AI will like & help us humans! 😅 Thank you for sharing! Didn’t know this connection between Reddit and LLMs 🧐 As someone who’s just started my own KZbin journey, I’m passionate about giving startups & founders better access to the legal tools they need to thrive. Seeing stories like this reminds me how powerful the right support and a strong community can be 😊 Let‘s work on a great future!

i think its a bad trend that so many YTers now are trying to subtly transition to their sponsor bit, by pretending that its still tied and relevant to the story. 5:17 to 5:50 keeps the listeners attention as if there is a link to the story, only to then betray that trust by plugging the sponsor service of which has absolutely nothing to doo with reddit or chatgpt.

The question is what will come next when you can extract all this info out of a basic LLM chat. I think the human exchange platform element of Reddit will still have a lot of value.

Reddit sucks. I left when they increased the prices of their API as an excuse to push everyone to their official app. I deleted my account and all my comments with a script (replaced them with the same sentence) and left. I occasionally go there as a lurker because it's inevitable, because it seems as every search on Google ends up there. But the 2013-2020 Reddit is no more. I hope it continues to decline with the introduction of AI and their own AI search tool.
