Gabiru definatly got a lot of laughs out of me. He's just so goofy 🤭 though he can definiatly have some bas a** moments. I'm also a huge fan of Konosuba and loved that it was the same VA as Kazuma that voiced Gabiru as well.

Do you think Gabiri could transform into a human form like Abiru?

I have a feeling that Gabiri's form is the actual true form of Dragonewt whereas the human like ones are influenced by the subconscious of Rimuru who facilitated the evolution. So barring Gabiri gaining the ability to do so and willfully do so, probably not (because I don't think Rimuru think of him in a human way, due to him being overly goofy). The reason I feel this way is that there is no objective reason why lizard or dragon based creature would look like humans. Humanoid, sure, there are a lot of advantages to be humanoid for a tetrapoda, but not human like. We tend to have a tendency to feel everything should evolve toward human, but that's really just human-centric bias speaking. As such, for non-human(related) being to be human like, it will have to be the result of intelligent design. Insofar as re-slime goes, it would mostly be attributed to the subconscious of Rimuru who facilitates the majority of the ones we see. If he "sees" someone as humanlike (like wise old man, in case of Abiru), they will become so. This could also explain why female dragonewt, who are not mammals and thus do not need mammaries, end up with boobs. The other branch of intelligent design would be willful transformation, many races/being capable of shapeshifting will choose appearance that matches those that they will primarily associate with post-transformation. And as many stories, include re-slime, are rather human centric, the latter species tend to be human or human like, thus the transformation will be so as well. But that is happenstance, not necessity. (An interesting story I read have a race that shape shift into whatever they encounter with. Being aquatic by nature, it's mostly sea animals... but also sunken ship, anchors, tires etc)

​@@justanoman6497it's not completely rimuru's sub-consconciou. Gabiru is very proud of being descended of dragons so his reptilian featured remain and his subordinates are affected by it too. Souka on other hand like souei so she gain ability to become humanlike( help in her work too)

@@ratre7349 If what you says is true, that means it's even less likely, if it's what Gabiru actively wants. Either way, the point is that being human like is more intelligent choice by one party or another than any natural phenomenon and as such shouldn't really be expected at all times.
