He never goes past the "current point in the anime" and that is honestly the best and most fair approach to "appease all ppl", especially the anime-onlies. Even I, as someone who does read some of the light novels of the series he has mentioned either in videos on on his weekly Twitch streams, like this approach! But I agree that sometimes stuff like what's happening currently in Slime does require a little bit more of a "deep dive" in order for everyone to trully grasp the world building and how BROKEN not only Rimuru but also his entourage actually is! BUT, then again... that would involve basically Sam going on a *_"SLIME CUT CONTENT SPECIAL - EVERYTHING that you've missed from the light novels SO FAR up to the current point in the anime"_* . With only watching the anime, I'd have to imagine this would be one of the rare times that the Demon Lords would actually end up working together given the strongest of them are allies with Rimuru if not just curious to see what he can bring to the world. Dragons are the greatest threat to everyone, even Guy Crimson himself is a primordial demon, along with Diablo who didn't wish to evolve but where at one point on par with each other strength wise. Guy Crimson lost to Veldoras* older brother?? or was it sister?? either way soundly defeated no contest. The great dragons are the biggest threat due to them just being on a different plain of existence, most are immortal, are immune to any magic after they see it once, and they simply bend the law of physics to their will.

However rimuru met him after 200 years of solitude and boredom and then gave him a medium of entertainment through his memories to watch while we were on his journey through the cave, to the goblin village, and to being a demon lord. So you could say rimuru just showed up and stockholm set in when rimuru offered a break from the seemingly endless boredom he had.

Almost all of it wasn't mentioned in the anime or even in the LN up to the current anime plot. Props to Aninews because the video doesn't spoil anything - no plot, at any rate. We can already be sure that the angels will become relavent at some point just because their existence has been mentioned repeatedly. Aninews does a good job at giving background information that someone like Hinata or Yuki would know without without spoiling things like Angel power levels or future plot.

"everything" is most definitely NOT going to happen this season. if im not mistaken we're only on Volume 7 of the light novel and there's 21 total volumes out right now... at most we're going to finish volume 8 and maybe get into volume 9.. but there's so much more to cover in this series... This video he posted seems to just be a random episode explaining something about the world of tensura kind of like his skills explained video. So this isn't something that isn't really brought up that much and is only mentioned by a handful of people. So whether or not you enjoy the fleshed out world building of tensura or not, there's a lot more that's going to happen.

World building does not mean they must sit in a meeting room and talk about thing repeatedly for half to a quarter of a season. Many much better shows and much worse ones have done world building just as detailed as Slime and made it entertaining. The easiest solution is to show people doing things and talking about doing other things. To pretend world building, story, plot, setup whatever word or words you want to use HAS to be done in a bland boring meeting room Is nonsense. The reason why Rimuru is alive and become demon lord is manas Chorona (Has time power but can't control, remember spirit who kiss Rimuru and Chloe is that spirit's past self.) As Chorona loves Rimuru she tried to change Rimuru's fate by changing things that happened in world. She saw death of Rimuru many times. And because of that Chloe delay Rimuru's departure to tempest and because of that Rimuru get stop by Hinata and Shion die. People who are complaining about the season 3 are the same people who hate Vinland Saga 2. Slime is not your everyday Isekai show which revolves around the mc fighting in every episode, it is more of a political show and they are slowly showing the rest of the world, the main concept of the show is that Mc tries to control the world with economy and that requires a lot of politics, all the talking in the show is not some senseless yapping, it is the actual core of the show with an essence of fighting. If you want to enjoy a show with lots of fights then you can watch 100s of other animes but if you are into an anime which is all about politics and an op mc who can fight if needed then you would enjoy Slime He doesn't have any goal of being the strongest or defeating some kind of entity he just wants to build his country and live peacefully. If the talking in the show is really challenging your intellect then you should really go and watch something like DB or Baki Hanma.

Summoning millions of angels is one of the abilities in Emperor Rudra's ultimate skill, the ability has a roughly 500 year cooldown. Although the two are working together, Feldway did not order it, they just choose to do this to ensure the Eastern Empire stays as the most advanced country in the world. Hope that helps.

Something occurred to me. The angel's serve as a check on human advancement. From what I know, Veldanava saw amazing potential in humanity and was fascinated with them. However due to his omniscience before he was a true dragon, he saw if they developed too far they would destroy themselves. He created the angels to prevent this. To act as a check on human development to prevent them from becoming self destructive. However, Rimuru's society is not human based. It's a collection of monsters and other species later. Some humans but mostly non-humans. Bit of a plot hole seems to me. Why would the angels care about a city of monsters? There job is to protect humans from themselves. I also wonder if Veldora could stand up to the angels if they attacked Tempest.

Well, there is actualy great explanations for that. Spoiler: The Tenma War is artificial. It was not created by Veldanava as a system. It is triggered by the event known is Armageddon which is a subskill of the Ultimate Skill: Justice King Michael. The current owner of the skill is 'Rudra'. The skill has a 500 year cooldown and summons a litterak rain of angels upon a designated area. It is used to abolish development made by other nations and allow the Empire to be the only pinacle in technology. Which we will see in the next next arc the Empire arc.

It's like a dungeon, every 10 levels there will be a guardian. Who is guarding a treasure, adventurers attempt to raid it. Every level has traps and such, so it's rare for people to even reach level 50~60 . Each of these guardians are strong, even having creatures like tempest serpant which is either A or B rank which is around town level of threat. It's not in the terms of brutal non-sense raiding but more so it's like a game but where you can actually die ( but you won't if you buy revival bracelet ) The last boss being Veldora 😂

Sadly, it was skipped content due to the higher ups ignoring the studio and the author. Those higher ups doubled the amount of content the studio had to adapt almost half way through production of Season 1, just to get to the first Hinata fight in Volume 4 meaning the studio had to skip a lot of important details and characters. Some of the most important information and characters are skipped content right now, unfortunately.

the problem against the angel's side is that they have JKM. they were able to easily control people from Demon Lord's side. and where exactly is that "manifestation of the star dragon lord(I'm assuming you're talking about Milim cause this title isn't hers)" in the current Tenma war? she got controlled and became Feldway's btch attacking her own team. JKM is so OP that it easily balances the battlefield even if Octagram has more quality members. with just a wave Angel side have possesion of Veldora, Milim, Dino and Velzard via JKM's ability.... anyone with angelic skills(ex. Velzard) or angelic being(Dino) becomes their btch... anyone with lower EP(Milim and Veldora) becomes their btch..... thats on top of the user being invulnerable via JKM's Castle Guard hence impossible to beat in a 1v1
