I think you should be able to sell plorts of other slimes as long as they aren't in your farm since you aren't really using them just cleaning up for them

I thought it would be like: you Can only sell pink plorts at the plort market, plorts Given through the quest machine Can't be Sold but can be stored for slime science, Any plorts sold through other methods (like the quicksilver Missions) Are allowed as long as they are not sold directly to the market.

to answer the "what should the goal be" either a, beat the main story bits (allowed to pick up free range plorts for story purposes, ie slime gates, glass desert tp), or unlock every location in the farm, and have all plots in use for something. thats my vote

The rant about chickens sucking is 100% valid, they suck. However, while there is almost nothing i can say about slime rancher 2 that is an improvement on the first game, chicken farming is the one exception! You can farm INSANE amounts of chickens in that game, plus theres a coop upgrade that automatically removes elder chickens from the coops which is super nice! The game is all around worse than the first, except for chicken ranching, that honestly needs to be an update to the first game to make chicken ranching more like that game!

If you let chickens free roam, i find you get way more than you get if there in a coop. I do that in the area under the overgrowth with the waterfall! If you want more of one kind of chicken thats when i put them in a coop.

The docks? I just put my puddle slimes there. Automate with drones and a market link and you have passive revenue. Lead drones to a silo instead and you can save the plorts for when they're worth more.

Chickens aren't great but once you hit late game and have all the coop upgrades, you actually can get a lot going. I've had instances where having slightly less than the limit so they still lay eggs means I'll come back the next day and have a coop SWARMING with chickens, like, at least 50 in there I'm sure. It's insane and way funnier than crops

As someone on the Spectrum who hyperfixated on this game and still plays it to this day... I get so confused when other people don't know things like where the two heart beet and cuberry spawns are in the Dry, Dry Reef, or the fact that you can skip several days to bypass the coop's maximum (because hens stop laying eggs at 12 chickens in a coop, for some reason).

I only ever have one male in the coop at a time, they stop if there are too many males, and you only really need one. There's still a cap with one male, but it's higher. (Unless I'm remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure) So, you could sleep, take out the extra Roostros, sleep.

I think you should be allowed to trade other slimes and their plorts as long as you’re not actually ranching them This should also extend to popping gordos if that is a concern I also agree with another comment that you should try to find the best/cutest pink slime largo just to add a bit more variety There are a lot of pink slime decos that could be added to the ranch also :0

The slime rancher 1 being better than to is a valid take, everyone has their own opinions but I thing the 2nd game tries to focus more on exploring than owning a farm, it’s more focused on gathering resources by hand rather than via drills and such, and you can’t even automate the farm so yeah, if classify it more as an adventure type game more than the farming sim that the slime rancher one is
