Slime Rancher Rush Mode v1.2 Walkthrough

Since the old 5 day rush mode got removed during the 1.2 update, I decided to make this updated guide on how to get the new, high score achievements with Rush mode.

Use the Save & Quit to your advantage! Back it up for example every time you are about to burst a pair of Golds in case your Plort totals are combined under 30. Also you can reroll the Daily Request by looking at it and if it is a bad one you can close the game entirely, then re-open and load your Save, you should be right before looking at the screen, open the request again and see if it got better. It is worth backing up your save on these spots too in the eventuality the game auto saves once you looked a request an it is a bad one. Using this method I got 120k on my first try with 8 Plort bonuses it totalled 215k. By day 3 I was already at 75k but decided to keep going anyway.

Opening the Moss Blanket is a waste of a key. You can get over the Moss Blanket gate saving a key, then set up a teleporter just by the big Slime Gate (the one that opens the ruins). With the extra key, you can get to the second half of the Glass Desert and possibly get some Fire Slimes (which spawn naturally) and more Gold Gordos that are there

Step 1: Get as many fruits and veggies as possible and do the first rancher exchange asap (if the quest is bad, start over) Step 2: Feed pink and phosphor gordo for key and tabby for teleporter Step 3: After quest feed gold gordo and get 15+ gordo plorts Step 4: Go to ring island and feed gold gordo on small island. Feed pink gordo above for 3rd key Step 5: Build farms and corral and set up base teleporters Step 6: Go to moss place via tabby tp and set up teleporters, then revive the desert Step 7: Get honey slimes and 4 mint mangos. Also feed honey gordo Step 8: Get quantum slimes and make largos. Do exchange Step 9: Get 10 of each desert slime and build corrals for them Step 10: Do exchanges and get 25 of whichever plort for bonus

Can you remember how many gold ports you got from each gordo? Sometimes mine are great (35-40) and other times I get a measly 12 (when the gordo pops they can sometimes be flung into the air and scatter making it very hard to get any at all.) To improve your score get more of the 25 port bonuses. Most of them are easy except hunter (which is doable) and fire (which is just annoying and relies on luck) but it will multiply your new bucks score by about 87%. :)

ChiralKyle this is not in order right? Because at 8:16 you have a key then next scene at 8:23 theres no key but then at 10:37 you have a key again. So im guessing maybe you used it to enter the indigo quarry?

Arianna Moreno no, there’s a second locked door in the ruins right before you use the teleporter to get to the glass desert. That’s where the 3rd key went. The footage isn’t out of order.

I agree with some others... you skipped WAY too much. I wasted so much time trying to figure out how to get to some of the places in the ruins (where everything looks the same and you get lost easily). Please don't skip parts of a walkthrough for a timed goal.

Sorry dude but this Tutorial....... It has some good ideas but you cutted to much from the Video(like the ways to the gordos) And so it's really hard to use it because you don't where to go and this is annoying.

This guide assumes that you've played the game enough in adventure/casual mode that you're already familiar enough with the game's map to find things like gordos and specific slime/item spawns. If you're still getting lost or can't find non-gold gordos, then I suggest spending more time exploring at your own pace in adventure mode or reading the wiki since this knowledge is essential for completing the range exchange requests (which can request almost any item or slime in the game and thus is unreasonable to write a short guide on). If I didn't crop the footage at all then this video would've been ~2 hrs long with a lot of time spent showing dead air running between areas, which would be a boring, painful watch for players that already know the map.
