I've been going since 2019. Never disappoints. It definitely an event where you get out what you put in so make sure you give yourself enough time to see and do as much as you possibly can.

I was there on the Saturday and I agree totally with your assessment. I went with my buddy who loves board games and card games so he was in his element but for me who enjoys painting and collecting minatures it was very slim pickings - what I was most amazed by was how little Warhammer there was at the UK's biggest games event. Also i'm annoyed that I somehow managed to miss Crooked Dice stall!

Not to sure if it's worth tour time but there's a cool toy fair at Bolton wanderers stadium 23rd June. it's not the biggest but I've found some cool things there in the past

Great vid Theo. I looked at the Crooked Dice website and saw the "Alien Android" and had to have it. I'm a bit of a TMNT collector so it will fit into my collection nicely.

Was there on the Saturday and found it too busy - there was just SOOO much there it was a bit overwhelming. Was almost paralysed with choice! The complaint about things not being organised by speciality I heard several times - it would have been nice to have a RPG area, a miniatures area etc, but I suppose too many companies cross boundaries so it would have been near impossible.

A great video. I agree with what you are saying about the venue layout. I went Saturday at 11 by 1230 it was so hot and packed. Even with the map there was so much I didn't get to see as there was so many people. Glad I got a couple of figures from crooked dice.

Nice episode Theo. I went on the Friday, which was absolutely heaving; likewise, you couldn't check stalls that easy for the crush. Got a few nice resin minis, and checked out the independent rpg sellers, but felt I missed a lot. Getting a bit too big, maybe : they sold a record 40,000 admission passes, for 65,000 visits over Fri-Sun.

Nice episode, I agree with you that the lay out looks like it could have been better organised, nice to see so many happy faces though. On a side note, do you know anyone who would paint miniatures as a service? Id like some of the figures but can't pain, so wondered if you knew anyone who paints figures for people?

Good to see you boys again at the show and thanks for the shout, looking forward to the Rambo Dio. Friday or sunday are certainly quiter than Saturdays there and better to have a demo or close look at stands. UKGE is certainly more board games and RPG than tabletop which has only really come in the last few years but like you I hope that changes over time, I agree on layout, its hard to find what you're after and it is sensory overload but with a reported 65,000 visitors over the weekend its to be expected )

I hate gaming shops & i know that is a bit of a strong statement but years back i went into a well known UK store to ask about one of there early war tanks kits & got treated like i was going to rob the place. I was with my wife so i refrained from saying my peace........on the upshot i started scratch/kit bash stuff. Always enjoy your hunt clips though & get a like.
