That makes total sense... I've only been shooting slingshots seriously for several months, but I did archery for many years growing up (my Dad was big into archery), and there was no way you would ever change your anchor point in archery... same should apply to slingshots !

Good to see you say about how important it is to keep your anchor point very good advice I’ve seen people telling you to move your anchor with a bigger or smaller frame all I do is move the target up and down on the extension line fair play 👌👌👍

@@Gunzee If you were shooting the Black Widow you were already doing it on hard mode, any modern day slingshot will be far easier to control!

Using wrist rockets will greatly improve accuracy. Plus they're way more powerful.

you dont have to adjust anchor point, that should be fixed everytime, only the imaginary line between bands should be adjusted, and u get that with time (ott shooter)

I've been trying to practice but i'm almost kind of terrified of the anchor point. Because what if the band breaks and it snaps you in the face

Check your bands before you practice, that’s a guarantee.

When shooting TTF I can't just aim higher because I can no longer see the target as it's covered by the forks. With practice though I have been able to compensate by moving my anchor point and maintain accuracy.

@Raymond Parker so I was shooting 7/16. I figured out that it was my anchor point, and once I figured that out I was all good. Haha I came from archery so my anchor point was the inside of my lips so just a little to low

@@18vidsover Good deal. Years ago I was shooting high with 3/8 steel on a particular rig, and couldn't figure out how to get it down without changing my anchor point. This was suggested to me, and I ended up going to 7/16 steel and that put me right on point. Sometimes it's the little things...

​@@18vidsover... I shoot a lot of clay in the 3/8 - 9.5 mm dia. and if I put them in a 25x20 .7 latex set up it will fly very high and fast but inaccurate... Now if I match them to a more reasonable setup... 18x12 with 5.5 ratio they behave much better and zip them super fast... On the other hand if I tame that ratio down to 4 then I will see the clay move clearly and encourages a nice straight shot... Hope that helps... enjoy

Your anchor should be lower so you don't lose yer eye in case something fails on your setup for whatever reason. This way your bands snap back and hit your face/mouth area instead of your eye/nose/upper cheek area. 😵

I halved my finger when the pebble hit my finger which was touching the end of the slingshot.. I just put some alcohol like usual and until today putting alcohol on my wound does not hurt and it is reserved for cat bites
