Can we use 0.8mm nylon thread for tying?
@wg99er2 жыл бұрын
No. That's way too thin, it will cut into the rubber, use #3 cotton crotchet thread and dip the crochet thread in wax to help hold the knot. Use a constrictor knot. Use a 100% food grade silicone spray like the kind from trident brand to preserve the bands.

@@wg99er The wax, constrictor knot and the food grade silicone spray are all new and great advices but when I see the #3 cotton crotchet thread, it's pretty thick it's basically a yarn, so was this thread for preferably these hunting bands only? and what type and brand of wax? all I see are like hair removal wax, car shine wax etc

Was that a clove hitch he calls the restrictor knot?
@usernamemykel6 жыл бұрын
It's a constrictor knot, which won't open. A clove hitch is easily un-doable, which is not what you want holding your bands under pressure. THWACK!

what tying material did he say in the video 1 mm leather?.
@SlingshotCommunity8 жыл бұрын
+Mustafa Hashmi It's 1mm thick leather making thread. :)
@mustafahashmi37278 жыл бұрын
Yes now I am looking where to get it from... I don't have a wallmart near me and all ebay sellers are based in china..
@SlingshotCommunity8 жыл бұрын
+Mustafa Hashmi You don't need leather making thread. It's just what I used. You can use other 1mm thread! :)
@mustafahashmi37278 жыл бұрын
You sure it won't slip off the rubber...
@SlingshotCommunity8 жыл бұрын
+Mustafa Hashmi Well, in my experience I've never had that happen. It's a self binding knot so that would be really hard to happen unless you made it extremely loose.
