@@mikihupcej3479I got a 2010 one, 2.0T 4x4 initially 220 bhp (actually dyno'ed it before I remapped it 2 months ago and it showed 219.5 bhp). Now on a remap it was dyno'ed at 285.5 bhp and 49kg of torque and it goes like there is no tomorrow. I have 155k km on the odometre, no issues whatsoever so far except the interior plastics started being a bit creaky on bad roads in the summer (but hey we have like constantly more than 35 degrees here in Greece in summer). Keep in mind it is a 14 year old car now so a bit of creaking is not unacceptable on bad roads, and I really am talking just a little bit, most people wouldn't complain about it. All I need now is a bigger intercooler, intake and exhaust and take it to my guy to log it. It should reach about 310 bhp after I install everything and log it to change the map for the new things.

@BeavisoPaulaner5 жыл бұрын
Insignia's advantage = eLSD Its AWD system is, in fact, far more sophisticated than "just a Haldex". It comprises of a traditional multi-plate clutch (Haldex IV) and of an additional multi-plate clutch installed in the rear axle differential. Thanks to it, the vehicle's steering control system can use "torque vectoring" by applying differential lock mechanism -> eLSD. Electronically controlled limited-slip diff. Read about Saab XWD - it is the same as later installed in most of the Insignias. It gives a significant advantage while driving dynamically in curves - reduces understeer by applying torque to the outer rear wheel. Brakes are not used on the rear axle to "emulate" diff lock. Insignia is a very stable car, with very well-performing AWD system acting proactively before ESP has to intervene. I drove such Insignia for 3 years, and now I have the one with Twinster AWD, which is even better.
@4x4.tests.on.rollers5 жыл бұрын
That's not exactly correct. Limited slip diff isn't applying torque to the outer rear wheel. It is increasing the torque on both wheels. That is why Twinster is better - it can apply torque to the outer rear wheel due to separate clutches for left and right wheels.
@BeavisoPaulaner5 жыл бұрын
Please, take a look at the detailed explanation of how Insignia's AWD is built and how it is used by the vehicle's stability control system to distribute torque between axles and between individual rear wheels as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/emKuZYmNeJiJpLs It can distribute up to 2700 Nm of torque (appx. half of top engine's performance in full throttle and 1st gear) to the rear axle. Moreover, the hydraulically-driven and electronically-actuated eLSD device can transfer up to 1200 Nm between rear wheels (side-to-side). It is used proactively while in curves to send more torque to the wheel with better grip (the outer wheel). There is no open differential - the eLSD is active and behaves accordingly to the stability control system settings (torque changes are actuated every 80 miliseconds or so). The use of eLSD is proactively enabled to ensure stability in tight curves or when rapidly changing direction. While driving, it doesn't wait for a wheel spin - it distributes torque as calculated by the stability control system. So it is a torque vectoring system. While accelerating from a start, it can distribute most of the available torque to a single rear wheel (without applying brakes). The GKN Twinster does the same but more efficiently and is more compact and lighter (there is no differential at all). There are two distinct areas of the AWD system: The mechanical side (how it is realised), and the control side (how it is applied), the second being the "brains" of the system, which is a very important but often omitted topic. From the mechanical point of view the system has its limitations, of course, like overheating, but in normal driving conditions it represents state-of-the-art system. The Insignia itself isn't well-built, because it is a nose-heavy family car with natural tendention to understeer, like most of the FWD cars. The AWD helped to reduce it, but one has to remember to golden rule: Keep gas pedal pressed in curves :) If you release it, you have a FWD ;)

@4x4.tests.on.rollers5 жыл бұрын

No chyba w każdym aucie tak dziala ESP xD
@karolzabielski5 жыл бұрын
@4x4.tests.on.rollers5 жыл бұрын
