Im a big metalhead and Slipknot enjoyer, but I somehow also have a side for slow/moody piano for doing work or just looking at the ceiling. This right here, is perfect. Not just because its Slipknot songs and my mind can loosely pick up some of the lyrics and melodies but because it is the perfect type of depressive piano that I adore and can listen to in a rainy night or on a chill drive by myself. And the music doesn't sound like anything else and its played so perfectly that it doesn't feel like a Slipknow song, which is amazing. No words, wow.

I can't express enough how deeply I appreciate this masterpiece! My journey into the realm of metal began around age 14, with Slipknot leading the way. I vividly recall the first song that drew me in, 'Before I Forget.' It was a mesmerizing experience, entirely new to me-captivating not only in its visual and auditory impact but also in the raw emotions of anger and sadness it conveyed. This emotional depth was something I hadn't encountered elsewhere, and Slipknot seemed to articulate these feelings in a way that resonated deeply within me. Discovering Slipknot made me realize they were expressing emotions I had struggled to voice-feelings of burden, loneliness, isolation, and despair that I grappled with during my younger years. Dealing with depression, their music became a channel for the unspoken emotions I longed to share with others, feelings I yearned to have heard and understood. This masterpiece holds a significance in my life that is hard to articulate. The piano renditions of their songs evoke such intense emotions within me-I often found myself in tears on the couch, transported back to moments and memories that had been buried. This means more to me than words can convey. Thank you for bringing this back into my life.

I resonate with everything the OP stated. 1000%. Except I was a self titled album newbie. I learned of them before they were popular by someone from Brittain I used to game with.( Jorm you rock! ) I took the self titled album and promoted the shit out of it. This transports me back to all the pain I stuffed down from that age in a healthy way. It allows me to love it for what it was. Just an experience. We all have our own, but I honestly feel like their music has kept me alive at times. To not feel alone in how I feel, and also remind myself there's always worse. Sometimes feeling others pain makes yours not feel so bad. In a shared way, not a my pain is worse kinda way. My respect goes out to the OP and the creator of this album. It's truly a masterpiece I will forever carry in my soul now. 🤘🖤🤍

About 30 minutes in i had an emotional reaction to this. Im a 51 year old man who raised my sons as a single dad. They are older now. In the first few years of adulthood. I see them maybe twice a month. Im in my backyard garfen. I just cried for the first time in years when i realized the thing that makes me most happy in life, my sons, are the one thing i will see less and less of.

There's a lot of people sharing tears to this music. Sending you lots of love. Mike Ness (Social Distortion) wrote Writing on the Wall about his son going away to college. Maybe his lyrics will resonate with you. Can't promise that'll be tear free either though 🖤 You sound like a great Dad
