I think this is one of the best drum tracks joey has ever written, and we all will never forget how awesome he nailed it in the early days.

+Slayer you can't really compare them both as Joey was way faster then the current drummer but credit to jay to for coming into a band that's pretty quick and does the job, I saw slipknot live back on 2011 Joey killed it saw them live again in 2016 and jay killed so they're both good bro just you can't compare them both in my opinion
@rhys_35648 жыл бұрын
+Slayer krimh is a god but maybe they saw something in jay that we don't and I think jay is a wonderful drummer nails some old slipknot songs, this is the same problem with avenged sevenfold losing the rev from going to mike portnoy in night mare aren iljay in hail to the king then Brooks wackerman in the stage pretty much same position if I must say

serious casual gamer most of the slipknot songs are really easy to memorize the rythems dont change much
@seriouscasualgamer95808 жыл бұрын
Silenc9 a lot of times when I try to learn a song, I usually end up not hearing complex tomes parts, and btw since I only have 1 year in drumming and didn't do double bass from the beginning, so I'm in the process of learning how to double bass properly, while trying to get good at blastbeating and changing my foot technique since I used my whole leg at first instead of just the tip of the foot, it works when you want to do double strokes at 140 bpm but not at 200 or so XD
@seriouscasualgamer95808 жыл бұрын
garnet ssxc the problem is not about memorizing them, it's about hearing all the stuff that's going on and playing it afterwards XD, actually this song is quite clear in terms of what to play, I was more talking about the devil in I, where, after habing watched his cover, understood I didn't get even half of what was actually going on in some parts

My God. I arrive a little late because this clip escaped me but wow! What a powerful drive !, what a feeling of groove. One of your best covers because there is advanced technique in it. Beautiful speed of course, all in precision without forgetting the changes and displacements of your drive while width, inversion of the drive / tempo, subdivision, a pinch of polyrhythm in the crowd of figures giving without respite, a surprising track of drum requiring a complete and unconditional knowledge of your instrument. This is the big caliber of choice ... Bravo Josh. Lars can go into hiding deep. He has succeeded in influencing a whole generation of drummers in his golden years but his most loyal admirers have outdone him for many. We see very well from another angle, all the complexity the talents of Joey's games.
