this is legitimately prime slipknot. corey’s voice in the chorus of my plague has just enough rasp on it to remind you that you’re listening to metal, but it’s just pretty enough to pass as a “catchy” chorus. this band was something special

@@Nikolas2808 i agree that they’re still a special band but the flame doesn’t burn as bright anymore. i can’t blame it on age because they still rip. something about them nowadays is just repulsive. it feels less inviting now and i’m lowkey scared to open social media to see who’s been kicked out now. once a band loses that aura of brotherhood, it’s hard to see them as anything other than a very successful business venture. fuck your wavelength

Yup I was 4 almost 5 years old when I first heard their debut “Slipknot”album my uncle let me borrow his cd 😂 I remember being on the floor of his apartment with all his CD’s & radio just switching in Slipknot , Marilyn Manson’s “A.C. Superstar” & Alice In Chains for some reason . Memoriesssss 🥹😌🙏🏽💯😂

He said in an interview on the House of Masks youtube channel that it was during an era they were talking about showing their faces/identities for the first time, and that mask was supposed to show the rest of the band how they could still do creative things with the facepaint, and still somewhat hide their identities, also interesting some of his tattoos were exposed by missing sleeves as well
