I've been a huge Slipknot fan for 20 years now and i can tell you this song is beautiful and amazingly composed. One of the best Slipknot songs. As you Said, they are fenomenal musicians. That's why they don't always need to do heavy and rough music because what they do, they do it good every single time.

@MAXIMUM Entertainment Some fans are just so blinded with the expactation of the early 2000s Slipknot that they don't even realize what a masterpiece this album is. Fire. This album is fire.

This song came out right after my wife passed away at 43, this is the most sad, uplifting most I've ever felt from a song I play it constantly and still get goosebumps, people ask me if I'm seeing a shrink to cope, I say yeah slipknot, machine head, lamb of god, u name it . Thank u slipknot thank u

Right? I think the new album is more or less exactly the way I want Slipknot to sound now. Im relating more to the slower experimental style, while also digging the way they've tweaked the heavier songs.

You had fun listening like I was having fun listening... First Slipknot album I enjoy. In fact it's the first "heavy" bit of music I enjoyed in last few years. They have this 90-00 vibe, like a bit of Katatonia, Tool, Grip Inc. here and there, it makes me sentimental... this perfect balance between heavy and melodic

Im a huge Slipknot fan, and i dont hate it, this is my 2nd favorite on album, only Hive mind beat it.. Adderall is also a cool song, i dont hate it at all, i think its a nice opening to the album actually.. This song is about looking back on your career, and feel good about all decision you made in life, accept it all, so in that way its also a perfect song to end this album, and the contract with Roadrunner, so now Slipknot can do whetever the hell they like to, so thats a bit exiting to..see where they go with that position.. i heard some gossip about them making a horror movie, and add music to it, but yes thats only a rumour, idk where they go.. This is way better then Rammstein could ever make a song.. Good idea to give this song some effect on stage, like confetti, and making crowd interaction, i could imagine that being real cool..

Loved this, Adderall, and Yen. I'm debating on if I should post those reactions or just leave it to this one. Maybe a lot of Slipknot fans will love this song and hopefully they do, but this and Adderall just sound so unique and different, I just assumed people won't like it cuz it's not what they expect

@Orgcrime2 жыл бұрын
No I don't hate it. Difference is great and its a great song. And for guys like me, who wanted something like the "old" slipknot, there are songs like medicine for the dead or chapletown rag. And Slipknot cant exist in the "old" way without Jordison (by the way I love Jay Weinberg too). So its better they dont try to be 1997 (but I admit, their first two albums (self titled and IOWA) are the best).

It's not supposed to be heavy all the time. I really wish people would listen to the lyrics and put as much respect on lyrics as they do music. This album is supposed to be dark. Like the Gray chapter. Not all of it has to sound like Satan's sewer system
