You're almost on point on the meaning of the song but, it's the other way around He's ranting about their producers and the fact that the record label kept asking for "angry" music even if the band wasn't really feeling it. So the chorus is kinda him talking to the producers It also explains the moans and screams at the very end of the song XD

Listened to the whole song. (This band is not for me). But man, the drums then the drum line was great! I see why you picked this for him.
