@@eloymiranda6017how do you know this? Just curious, I think triggers on the double bass are rather obvious. No matter how hard someone hits it, the bass drum will not sound like this. Source: I am a drummer who attempted to get this sound without triggers, failed countless different methods

He does have insane precision. Even if they're using a click, it isn't easy to be in complete sync and locking on to it. Takes a lot of practice and effort, especially for metal. I have experience with using a click live.

When you bring in someone like Eloy, everyone knows they need to bring their A-game. Slipknot has never sounded this tight live! That's what a solid drummer will do for you. Jay and Joey are important elements of the Slipknot legacy, but Eloy is in a whole different level. World class musician, could be playing with Tribal Tech right now. As a drummer, I couldn't agree more on most of this. They have definitely struck gold with Eloy. Hard hitter, accurate, paying homage to Joey's parts with some flare of his own, and on tempo. Win for him to get this gig and win for Slipknot to get that man behind the kit. I saw Jay at Download this year. He wasn't by any stretch bad, but he sure were fast as fuck tempo wise and plenty of fills covering his lack precision at those speeds. I feel he got dealt a bad card with them not letting him track certain songs the way he wanted. Unsainted initially had fast double bass throughout the verses which I think would've changed everyone's perception on Jay's capability, as well as being forced to play those kicks every night on tour would've helped him improve MUCH quicker than he has done. And HE HAS improved since his debut. No questions asked. Eloy is just a much more polished and accomplished drummer. Anyone who's seen his videos as a kid knows what Eloy is truly capable of. Joey will always be my favorite Slipknot drummer and the only one, in my humble opinion, who will ever truly be suited for the band. Even if he "Lars'd it" later on in his tenure whether it be due to his MS or the drugs, you can't replicate the man's creativity and incredible input he brought to the sound we've all come to love in Slipknot. Prime Joey was an animal live.

People were saying that he was playing to a click, because of the footage showing the metronome. But, he is just referencing the metronome app at the start of songs to get a feel for the tempo. He's definitely not playing to a click on the tracks where the guitar starts the song. Because the guitar is setting the tempo and neither guitarist is wearing in ear monitors. Craig Reynolds also knows some of the guys in Slipknot and has confirmed that the band definitely don't use a click. It's possible that Eloy is playing to a click on some of the tracks he starts the song though, because he has an in ear monitor on. Could just be that he likes to hear the other instruments clearly though.

I noticed this too. His voice isn't the same anymore, of course, 20 years of shouting and such, but he makes it clear when he talks to the audience between songs that the change was necessary, like, going back to the roots. Cara, Sepultura é uma banda foda que perdeu o brilho que tinha nos anos 90, só que é dessa época sabe, porem Sepultura passou de banda foda no cenario internacional para ser mais uma apenas, Eloy fez o possível pra ressucitar o Sepultura, ajudou muito mas no fim não adianta pois Sepultura tem um som que não agrada maioria de hj e Slipknot é uma banda adorada por todos então é isso. Vida longa ao Eloy no Slip e ao Corey tbm que a voz dele já ta falhando horrores.
