Music up just a tad, I know you can't take the drums out of the song, but it's a little too soft! Edit* Oh and that section starting at 2:43 made my head hurt! Couldn't imagine trying to play that myself lol

I just picked drums back up after nearly 20 years of not playing (Got the Roland TD-KSV w/Iron Cobra double kick pedals), and I've (poorly and slowly) have been trying to learn this song. You make it look so damn easy.

sodamlazy you are welcome :) which drum setup do you use? I wonder it so much.
@sodamlazy6 жыл бұрын
The kit is a Roland TD-30KV with extra cymbals. I got Demon Drive pedals and I'm using Superior Drummer for the samples. This is one of my oldest covers though so I think I was using "Studio Drummer"
@burakkbala6 жыл бұрын
sodamlazy great. The kit that you used to play with was so amazing. When will you return?

Never trust my promises but hopefully in the coming weeks.. I had to move a couple of months ago and I have to move again soon. I also had to move my drums to a new garage and renovate the place, still in progress.

Are all the pads (including the cymbals and the drums) connected to the TD-30 sound module?
@sodamlazy9 жыл бұрын
+Erin Joe Hmm yes all but the black tom. I do have an additional cymbal in my most recent covers though (snare, kick, 4 toms, hh, ride, 5 crash pads, 1 smaller crash pad)
@MrDeShaf10 жыл бұрын
Awesome! A question though: while making the charts, what is your process? Which program do you use, how do you get BPM, etc... Thanks!
@sodamlazy10 жыл бұрын
I use "EOF" to make charts and "all8.com/tools/bpm" to count BPM. You can find EOF on the Phase Shift website, there's a link in the description :)

@WAMMO67810 жыл бұрын
Well a double kick, and a lot of leg muscle man
@ShawnJonesHellion6 жыл бұрын
Slipknot isn't that hard with kicks. It's "hard" but the level after it is the hard part. 3-5 years practice gets u there. A few more allows you to perfect it.
@erickvillalba30538 жыл бұрын
can you please do alligator blood mate?

Thanks. The drum module has 4 additional aux inputs for that purpose!
@JIMBOX12X10 жыл бұрын

@JIMBOX12X10 жыл бұрын
Because I use a TD 6 for my other pads.

in your opinion, what's the hardest slipknot you can play?
@yeetyee70669 жыл бұрын
If your going for hard stuff with your feet take AHIG or Vol3... You'll find hard chops for the hands on Selftitled and Iowa...For me Eyeless is one of their hardest songs to play...
@Datdudestone9 жыл бұрын
+OniiSan Drums hmmm for me I honestly don't know.
@yeetyee70669 жыл бұрын
You're right, you can't choose this one hardest song...There are just way too many hard ones..
@sodamlazy9 жыл бұрын
+OniiSan Drums Yeah hard to say, there are aren't any super "complex" ones though so I'd say the hardest ones are probably the speed smashing tracks like All Hope Is Gone, The Heretic Anthem or Disasterpiece.
@purplebaroness713910 жыл бұрын

sodamlazy wouldnt it be more like 216 bpm?
@purplebaroness713910 жыл бұрын
I figured it and it is 108.1
@misledswede99869 жыл бұрын
DniweNeEbanoe Think of it as you bang your head to the song, i don't think you'd bang your head in the speed equalling to 216 BPM, but more go with the heaviness in the song.
@Mezurashii510 жыл бұрын
Huh, pretty good reaction time, lol. So, who do you think was the drummer for this track? It's confirmed that it's neither Joey or Chris.

@jakubdobieshipertrof10 жыл бұрын
makes sense, keep up the good work! and could you post this track without isolating drums also? It'd be better to enjoy your drumming and musicianship of the song at the same time.
@sodamlazy10 жыл бұрын
Jakub Dobies Thanks. And the track is there but I don't want the original drums to punch through mine. It might be difficult to hear it with earphones or laptop speakers but proper headphones should do the job!
@ShawnJonesHellion6 жыл бұрын
U get a ton of views on your covers somehow. I'd say should do more but I know you probably try and how time consuming it is to nail a song 100% when the band itself doesn't do that
