Slipping for beginners.
Slipping is used by fighters to avoid an incoming punch from their opponent. It involves the skillful movement of the head and upper body to evade the punch while remaining in a balanced and advantageous position. By slipping, a fighter can dodge punches with minimal movement, allowing them to conserve energy and create counterattacking opportunities.
When slipping, a boxer typically moves their head and upper body quickly and fluidly in a lateral or diagonal direction, usually to the outside of the incoming punch. This movement allows the punch to miss its intended target, often resulting in the opponent’s punch glancing off the fighter’s shoulder or completely missing them. Effective slipping requires precise timing, coordination, and anticipation of the opponent’s movements.
Stay positive you all.
