It took me significantly longer than other people claim to have taken to find all 4 altars using this method. Total time was 2 hours and 20 minutes, and each altar was spread somewhat evenly apart. Each run was ~2 minutes. I straight up don't believe the commenters who claimed it took them 30 minutes or even 10 minutes to find all 4. It's technically possible, but you would have to be absurdly lucky. First Potion: 1 Altar at 15 minutes Second Potion: 1 Altar at 20 minutes and 1 Altar at 55 minutes Third Potion: 1 Altar at 20 minutes Was running ideal setup: 200% movement speed, Ghostwalker aspect to run straight through mobs, Draught potion, Torment IV

I tried random NMDs 10 runs on T4, 4 additional runs in rootholds and 0. Friend logged in and found 1 in his first NMD.

@@Terrapin311 No, only when the 60 minutes ran out. Given the fact that I found two altars on one potion, I can definitively say it is not necessary to pop a new one after you find one since it's not limited to one altar per potion.

When you find an altar does it have a predetermined witch power or do you get to choose which one you want at the altar?

did this for 1 hour on T4 with a Draught of Whispers and haven't find 1 altar I'm paragon 167 and not found 1 my entire time I'm starting to think its bugged

I thought you had to do nightmare dungeon sigils or roothold sigils to get those things to drop i didn't realise you could get those alters to drop in regular dungeons this is great new thanks for the info.

Did a t1 with my fire hydra mage with the dot aura. With the potion. Thinks that i got after the time of was up 6 paragon levels Full inventory of legendaries, two of them are the butcher weapon. Collect what felt like 10-15 runes Saw around 10 events 5 corrupted shrines The chest that drops legendaries around 5-6 times. Killed butcher twice. And still not a single shrine found.

I tried your method for 1 hour but didn't find anything. After that I finish the season questline and tried again, this time I found all four altars in just 45 minutes. A nice tip is to socket Friend of the Bog gem this will make you zip through enemies like if they were not there

i got it in 30 minutes 2, already had 2 from a nigthmare dungeon and from the pit (din´t know you can get from the pit, but is true, you can farm from pitts this too), so i did a mistake on normal dificulty and half an hour saw i has lost 30 minutes, then i swatched to 4 torment, and in less than 30 minutes, so i can say that maybe i´m lucky? or i have suffered enough in my life so maybe GOD said, look, i messed up too much with you, i think you deserve at least one miserable reward, and then, here i got piranhado and the other, they go first the worst from the better, so you can use it in the meantime or go for it. So i thanks for the tip, i had to clear my witch powers cause i was dealing dmg all the time so i never went in shadow mode, was more like being naked over a lot of assasins who want to murder you. But still, thanks. You saved me from boring.

I got 3 yesterday using the potion in the seasonal dungeons < its not a nightmare dungeon, but the same kind of key to get in. I ran probably to many of them, if you can, select 2 boons each time, aim for majors if you have the build for it.

I didn't have any fugitive heads untill I got into torment 2 and then I found 2 heads in the same headhunt xD

I'm p212, playing blood wave necro, been farming t3-4 for about 20 hours now and I have found 1 head and 1 altar total, this will make me quit the season lol I'm already done with seasonal quests and reputation, no reason to even farm for the gems anymore, game is finished for the season.

Ok i have a update and probably easier way to get these alters. Pit lvl 65. Me and my son were leveling our gems for 15-46 and we found 2 alters after about 10 runs then the final 2 in about 20 more runs. Never changed pit level stayed at level 65. All done now and never used a single drought.

Try jumping in a four-player party and have each person choose a different one, so if somebody finds one you just rally to that person
