This car is my dream! A 350 manual with a supercharger? It's awesome. It should be named the Tasmanian Devil the way she sounds coming down the road. Simply a beautiful car. I wish I had it. What year is it, what modifications did you do, and is it difficult to do this setup?

Ich bin grade dabei nen sl r107 umzubauen. Der plan ist entweder mit dem 55 motor zu gehen oder nen 350 mit kompressor. Die gewichtsverteilung spricht für den 350. Leistungs weise in etwa vergleichbar?

Whats a compressor and what does it do. I have a 2005 slk and I wouldnt mind advice where to start modifying for performance

The compressor (supercharger) is attached to the engine crank with a belt. The engine crnak is spinning, thus, the belt is spinning the supercharger. The superchsrger compresses air a forces it into the engine, thus making more power (if the air/fuel ratio is right).

Schon das Ansauggeräusch lässt hier ein fettes Drehmoment vermuten. Ich schätze hier mal um die 100 Nm mehr als Serie. Bei der Leistung denke ich, dass hier 70 bis 80 Pferde mehr am Start sein könnten. Damit ist man in der Leistungsausbeute beim Acht-Ender, ohne das Zusatzgewicht des 8-zyl. Motors mit sich rumtragen zu müssen. Das Auspuffgeräusch kann man mögen oder halt nicht. Warum Bernhard Widmer der Meinung ist, der SLK sei damit verschandelt, oder was die Körpermasse des Besitzers damit zu tun haben könnte, ist erst einmal nicht auszumachen. Das kann allein Bernhard wissen. Vielleicht ist er aber auch einfach nur beim für ihn falschen Video gelandet.
