5-20-13 how to use HPtuners(RTT) Real Time Tunnig

here is a quick overview on how to use hptuners real time tuning RTT interface if you are using a custom OS from HPtuners. figured i would make this video to show some people how easy it is to use, it really does work great

Nice vid, Denmah! I'd just like to add (in case some are wondering)....that you DO NOT have to have an SD o/s on the PCM to enable RTT. The "1bar maf enhanced" option will allow those using a maf to be able to use RTT as well (on supported vehicles). :)

You don't HAVE to convert to speed density to use RTT. You can also use "1 bar MAF enhanced". This is just an FYI for the masses....

Old ass comment but maybe you'll see this. How do I get the 1 bar MAF enhanced upgrade? My 2006 p59 PCM only has 2 or 3 bar MAP upgrades listed.

Working on a turbo swap for my 2008 GM car. Previous years had a 1 bar map and a maf sensor. Mine has a 3 bar map in the manifold and a maf sensor. I'm currently planning my custom exhaust. Gonna be custom mild steel turbo manifold and k was going run factory down pipe. Should I have my welder weld in an extra o2 bung in the down pipe for wideband? Is that all I'll need to tune with hp?

its funny you say this because i was wondering this exact thing, so i researched it and found out that you can tune while you drive like megasquirt. I have a tpi system i want to put on my c20 pickup 5.7. I suppose instead of running megasquirt, i can get the stock ecu from the tpi from a j/y and run hp tunners and get similar results with 1 70mm turbo. Do you think either system is do-able running speed density? I am running megasuirt on my 1.8t so i am familiar with the ms1 ems.

Stupid question but why bother with megasquirt when hp tuner seems to have way more options including timing control and inj control at ease for ls engines? Would you recommend hp tuner or ms3?

i have a pro cable, but for gen3 stuff i would recommend getting the regular version and just putting the wideband input into the EGR 5v wire and then doing the guide on corvette forums for getting your wideband input to work over the egr pin
