Slot car on the Batmobile this week. Yes I know it's been reviewed before but not by someone that grew up on Batman and worked with and knew Adam West.

I have the same story as you. Born in 48 and grew up on Batman Comics. Got my first slot car set for Christmas of 62. Aurora Vibes, later switched to T-Jets. That's still my scale. I enjoyed your stories very much. Thank you for sharing them. And I love your layout!

I really liked Batman back in the day-- was a little daffy at times (I'm just a few years younger than you, but a serious lad nonetheless). It was The Green Hornet I was ga-ga over. It was a better version of Batman (and Robin)-- more serious, almost plausible. For years I was enchanted by my own garage door opener (I had lived in Manhattan, no car till middle age... didn't take much to impress me) and set up a tape loop in my car cassette player with the theme from the show. So whenever I was the right distance away I would run the tape and hit the door opener! Simple pleasures... I was going to paint the couple kissing, in spite of the door opening the wrong way, but the wife put the kibosh on that. The final sacrilege, I think the Hornet theme is superior. I know...
