Mo is one of the few journalists whose question you can actually hear, and he always has interesting questions to ask.

Ridiculous. All the journos put recording devices on the table, but the club can't invest in a microphone to hear the journos' questions at press conferences.

Absolutely adoring the sheer quality of your presser reviews, Mo! There are so many things I could write in response, I don't know if my health challenges will let me: 1) Slot is clearly a cogitator, which I don't think is lauded as much as it should be in the modern game, 2) I totally agree he gets Curtis Jones' mentality, & the confidence this gives to him & in fact, all the players, is really on display! 3) Positivity is a very healthy attribute, not faked positivity, but genuinely good things to say nourishes élite mentality. You can see this is happening more & more as the games tick by! 4) The synchronicity between (especially the most experienced) players, coaches (including the head coach) & the fans is coming! This could be the greatest force in football & nobody can say what its impact might be!
@JHaydon6724 күн бұрын
Incidentally, is there a twitter/x hashtag that we could use for your YT videos, does anyone have any suggestions?
@JHaydon6724 күн бұрын
5) Fluidity is a critical part of Slot's style, that was clear at Feyenoord & is very clear from our best moments since he arrived. We really need to keep this up.
@mostewart343723 күн бұрын
100% agree with all of your points here. It feels like he doesn't say anything by accident - every statement is a message to someone, whether it's fans, media or his players. And the positivity is based around tangible elements that people can refer to that as you say builds confidence. As for the growing relationship with the crowd, If they win this evening I feel like we could see something really special for Real Madrid & Man City. As for a hashtag, I've been using "Arne's Answers" when saving my files, so maybe something along those lines? Although it probably needs to be shorter so it will fit in the character limit. Thanks for your considered thoughts, and your support!

Mo, Arne turns off his press conference mindset. He engages you as an intellectual. I mean of the type his life is full of, football people. He is completely in his comfort zone. Good job asking the questions. You have the perfect skillset. It always nice to listen to you in general, it is a highlight for me when Arne gets to you in the presser though.

No need to be so modest there Mo😉. Although essentially this time (and practically every week) it's just a case of the thinking man's coach speaking to, seemingly in his eyes, THE thinking man in the press crowd, ie., you. I can sense the intellectual appreciation towards you in his voice and manner. I'm kinda hoping you become his favourite correspondent, but please make sure he doesn't reveal too much tactically to the opposition!! Unless any such revelations are intentional red herrings on his part of course, in which case fair play on your part!! Oh and big up on your birthday my man🎉

@julianpasin8590 First of all, thank you. I really appreciate that support. However, one thing I would say is that fans completely overplay how much tactical elements elements managers talk about in public. Every single Premier League club employs multiple people to watch over multiple matches of each team they face, and that's where they get their knowledge. Never, and I mean never, has a manager revealed something in a press conference that an opposition team used against them. That's just something that fans obsess over that isn't real

The dare to dream comments sound very reminiscent of Klopp’s: “I hope to turn supporters and doubters into believers” Comment from way back in the day.
@mostewart343723 күн бұрын
It's not a million miles away is it? The difference is that Klopp was saying that from the outset, whereas Arne has only now started to filter this messaging in
@michaelmchugh505624 күн бұрын
Mo love the questions you set, one i would like to ask Arne now he has had a wee period of time to get to work with the players what position or player type would he sign in January that would give his team the biggest boost for the 2nd half of season. We know zubimendi a holding midfielder was targeted but wondering if a goal scoring centre forward would have a bigger impact as Jota cant stay available, what position would you suggest?
@mostewart343723 күн бұрын
I 'd love to know the answer to that as well, but I suspect that he wouldn't say it publicly!
@isthatmysatay23 күн бұрын
It does not matter if we get zubimendi.😂 If Zubi got a bad 1st half performance, he would be sub out by ht.😂😂😂😂 If zubi can accept that sort of future....he is welcome at LFC. But zubi left me a bad aftertaste.he rejected us once. Thank you and we moved on. Xabi "rejecting" us...does not hurt so much because he was a former Red and Arne mentioned before that Richard Hughes approached him himself. So all those media noise over Xabi or Amorim were false anyway😂😂😂
@michaelmchugh505623 күн бұрын
@isthatmysatay the question was more about what Slot judges to be the biggest area of improvement not specifically any named player. It seemed to be a No.6 player in the summer but if he could identify a significant position and find a perfect fit player and the deal was possible would he switch his priorities. He wouldn't name a player as most coaches wouldn't but he does speak quite frankly too without fuss.
@mostewart343723 күн бұрын
@michaelmchugh5056 I doubt that he'll specify that either. The point being that any answer he gives is an implicit criticism of the players currently in that position
@millinutz20 күн бұрын
I wached Klopp's PCs to be entertained, but from Slot's, I find myself learning from him. I like his cool laid back style..., completely the opposite to Jurgen, but neither have lacked in quality. They are both different, but both just as entertaing.
@mostewart343719 күн бұрын
I think that's a good assessment. He's someone who seems happy to share how he sees the game with us, which I'm pleased about - lets us get to know him and what to expect
