They say that the Mom can tell there is something off or wrong with the baby sick, disease just weak etc. but how long that process takes I would love to know this is a new born but its got to be a couple days old right ? I tell you one thing if theres something wrong with that baby its not its looks, the coloring was gorgeous the brown ones sometimes have an almost purple lines on there face like this one, I would of taken it for myself.

I think they must have tried to put the baby on a totally unrelated sloth and that's why she rejected the young one.

I hope this baby Sloth was taken to a sanctuary. Why keep returning it to the Mother who obviously didn't want it from the start? :(

The mother looked like she was trying to help pull the weak baby up to her.

@@sundial. Maybe she was trying to help it, still she abandoned it shortly after it was born. If the mother just rejects the baby, returning it to her is a sure death sentence for the infant. I hope this baby sloth was at least taken to a good wildlife rescue, and the staff did what they could to save it.

no she didn't want anything to do with the baby. Sometimes they can sense that something is wrong and know it's not going to make it. She'll say adios and get back into the dating circle.

I have seen a lot of babies and they climb on at every conceivable angle even newborns they are strong, this baby was always upside down and backwards it was frustrating maybe that was it , if it cant climb onto the mom then it cant climb a 100 feet up in a tree. Do you think that was it, or was mom knocking her off balance ?

If a baby sloth is too weak the mother won't risk going down to the ground to get it because they both could get eaten.

How sad is it when the animal is so fucking slow it cant even help its young that is struggling to survive, i take it the baby fell to the floor in the end?

it wasn't a matter of being slow just a matter of rejection,...these people said it fell for the last time so took it to a sanctuary
