I agree that sloths are adorable. I was fortunate enough to visit this sloth sanctuary a couple years ago. I learned that the babies are born fully sighted, with full teeth and perfect hearing. Was told that you cannot domesticate them. When this adorable little thing grows up, they will release him/her right into the trees surrounding the sanctuary. Some of the sloths they get are burned from climbing electrical poles which they mistake for a tree and getting severely burned from the electrical wires. It's so sad. But this place does so much good for these animals. They really care.

Intense fabulousness I completely agreed with Brenda, they need loves and cares from human! I am proud of this organization and all volunteers working there. I want to visit the Costa Rica too and to know more about sloths. I was attracted by Sloth's smiling and peaceful face. I love them and I only can do now is giving donation and supports.

Sloths are animals that touch the heart. They are particular, nice, sweet: it is easy to fall into adoration of these animals. I'm sorry to see them in trouble, see them in cages, deprived of their natural life and I suffer for it. I am happy that someone takes care of the rescue, of help to help them and then leave them at liberty. I'm sorry if they stay to live in cages, I feel their suffering in a life like this. Sloths are special animals, they look like angels, it is natural to love them and want their maximum good.

Everyone here is saying they want one. No, you don't. Sloths can live up to 30 years, and they rarely leave the trees. They don't stay babies forever, and you'd have to have _at least_ a full backyard of trees for it to climb on. Sloths are for a lifetime. Not a cute little baby.

This is the kind of wonderful, loving act that gives God pause to keep from rendering us humans extinct in short order. That time is coming but this kind of loving care gives pause to our creator. Best thing for this baby sloth that lost its mother is to give it a friend of its own kind before too long. Animals that have to live "solo" don't fare as well.

The first one I fell in love with was not cute&tiny like a baby.I was watching one of those wildlife shows years ago&they were having to gather them up to move them to another part of the jungle due to deforestation&approaching fires.When they put them into a canoe the mama one sat back on her backside leaned back like a human and gently draped her right hand out of the canoe into the water as they drifted down the stream.She looked so cool&calm,especially to be a mama animal. Another cool mama!

Those children in Africa who you are trying to help will likely grow up and become poachers which will kill many many animals, terrorists, members of extremist groups, and so on. elizelo zelo there's a reason why it's illegal, they aren't pets they're suppose to live in the wild. Ik they are legal to have here in Texas with a permit but they are exotic animals and many vets don't treat them if they get sick.
