Adding few more facts: 1. Current Slovakian anthem is from the folksong "Kopala studienku" and the correct name of Hungarian version is "azt mondják nem adnak engem galambomnak." There is also a Polish version of it known as "Wisi zbójnik." It is difficult to tell, which one was the first. 2. The melody of Austrian monarchian anthem was most likely taken from the Croatian folksong "Jutro rano se ja stane" which uses the same tune. The melody serves now as a national anthem of Germany. 3. When the song "Hej Slované" was written in Czech by Samuel Tomášik, it was singing about the Slavs in general (Slované/Slovania...) and in this version, it was translated to almost every Slavic language. Slovaks changed the word Slovania (Slavs) to Slováci (Slovaks) only in 1939 when they adapted it as a national anthem. The Serbo-Croatian version of the song "Hej Sloveni" was also the national anthem of Yugoslavia between 1946-2003 and of Serbia and Montenegro until 2006. Very similar melody is used also for Polish anthem "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego" which has its roots in this song. 4. In the lyrics of current Slovakian anthem, the word "ich" in the verse "zastavme ich bratia" - "let's stop them brothers" which reacts to the thunders mentioned in the previous verse, was changed to "sa" - "zastavme sa bratia" - "let's stop ourselves, brothers" during the communist era, because communists thought that it is offensive and that by "stop them" (meaning thunders), someone could mean communists or Russians. 5. Slovakia couldn't be ruled by Budapest since 1867, because Budapest was created only in 1873 after fusion of Buda, Óbuda and Pest to one city. Before, Buda was the capital of the Hungarian kingdom.

A small correction for 5:57: the Austria-Hungary called in our (hungarian) language 'Osztrák-Magyar Monarchia', not 'Ausztria-Magyarország'. And it disintegrated in 1920 by the 'Threaty of Trianon' and not in 1918. But still a nice video :D

What I heard is that in 1848 a Pan-Slavic Conference was held in Prague, and it declared that lyrics written by Slovak poet and the music of "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego" (which wasn't composed by Józef Wybicki, he only had written the lyrics, composer's name remains unknown) shall form together the all-Slavic anthem. And this particular anthem was later adopted by Yugoslavia under rule of Josip Broz-Tito. And music of current Polish anthem was also pretty popular in Hungary, thanks to Józef Bem.

A címerről egy kicsit másképpen. Bár a cikkben nem egészen ez szerepel. Nekem ez tűnik valószerűnek. A magyar címer egy képírás, ahol . hármas halom jelentése = ország mivel ez már évezredek óta használt szimbólum az ország jelölésére. A keresztnek látszó objektum valójában a magyar rovásírás - GY - jele, mely egy rövidített jel, ahol a magánhangzó szokásos rövidítési technikával el lett hagyva. a teljes jel az - EGY - lenne. Jelentése isten. A korona nyilvánvalóan a királyságra utal. Tehát a címer olvasata Isten országának királya, vagy ha tetszik isten országa. Garanciát nem vállalok rá hogy igy van, minden esetre a cikk tartalmaz adalékokat. Lefordítása gondolom nem fog problémát jelenteni. Sajnálatos módon a címerpajzs bal oldalának elemzésével mindeddig hitelesnek látszó elemzéssel nem találkoztam. YES there was kingdom of H-UNGARY - UGRy, UHRY, UGORIIA ,UHORIA, UHORSKO not MAGYAR kingdom. Today inhabitans of HUngary call themselves magyars not hungarians because they were never original Hungarians - UNGARIANS, UGORS, WENGER. They usurped the name Hungarian thats all. Even Engels in "The magyar struggle" wrote about it that kingdom of Hungary is full of slavic people and Magyars want to Magyarize them, because this is how germans and magyars always spread, not by culture or sex but by assimilation. BTW German is not a word for today germans it was stolen too from another ancient people who were not germans and do not speak today "german" language. French call Germans Allemane and germans call themselves Deutsch. They are not germans and never was, they asimilated original. germans. And in fact only upper Hungary / Slovakia/ was defending against ottomans and all lesser Hungary was whole under ottoman rule.
