Neil, please, the EU still buying Russian gas, just not buying it officially and cheaply. There's simply not enough supply available from non Russian suppliers. Pay attention how coy the Greens are regarding the environmental impacts of the American LNG. As of the North Stream pipelines, that person, from that country, called Ukraine, couldn't do it due logistical and physical limitations. By the way, those who created the story, didn't explain how, that little group got large quantities of the required explosives into Europe, onto the sailboat, found the pipelines under the sea, placed it on the pipelines without special equipment?

Geopolitics is so weird. ? I don't understand why Western European leaders prefer very high energy prices from the US for there citizens and economies. This obviously will lead to much higher inflation, high pollution, higher energy transportation costs, lower standard of living for all EU citizens affected. What are Western European leaders thinking? Imagine all the extra transportation costs incurred, from all the numerous US LNG and oil tankers manually transporting all the US energy all across one side of the ocean to the other every single day, instead of a current comparatively cheap abundant reliable supply of energy from Russia, with a zero polluting transporting structure already in place, on the same side of the world? Meanwhile, Western European leaders are like, 'yeah, we'll show Russia.' What the heck? This really helps the Green Movement. Not. What a joke. Sure, America is all for the deal. Keep it coming. We'll take it.

Actually Neil you're right and wrong at the same time. Europe has bought 'Record' sales of LNG from Russia in 2024! I expect that record to be beaten again in 2025... just more significantly. I also heard that what could happen is that Gazprom will sell gas to Azerbaijan, and Europe will buy it from them as a middleman... then tell Zelensky to open the pipeline transit because technically/officially?? they will not be buying gas from Gazprom! They are doing the same thing with Russian Crude Oil which India are buying in record amounts, refining, then selling to Europe at a markup! Add to that Russia has been selling record amounts of natural gas to China through the 'Power of Siberia pipeline at a record 40 Billion Cubic meters of gas in 2024, which will further expand in 2025 with the opening of a second 'Power of Siberia pipeline! They have also been selling record amounts of LNG to other parts of Asia using the Arctic Northern Sea route! Huge Geopolitical and Geo-economic for them in Eurasia As Europe deindustrializes the new market will be worth twice as much! Tell me people is there a difference between the European and Soviet Union now? I'm not just throwing that around. If you look at the system, a center of power for member states, a bureaucratic dictatorship that has financial and legal authority. Ok there is a difference Brussels instead of Moscow!

The narrative remains the same, "full-scale invasion" instead of special military operation, Russia has yet to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, they entered the Donbas Region at the invitation of local leaders with what would normally be termed an Experditionary Force. That force was withdrawn by Russia when the Minsk Accords were signed, as a gesture of goodwill from Russia - what an error that proved to be. The "annexation of Crimea" is another one, Crimea voted to become part of the Russian Federation. Khrushchev gave Crimea to Ukraine after it had been part of Russia for hundreds of years, Putin took it back, and the people of Crimea were very happy that he did. Ukraine have decided not to allow the transfer of gas from Russia over Ukrainian territory, that is NOT something Russia has done, but it is, of course, being framed in the general media as if it is. Some of this narrative is just bad habit caused by media brainwashing, but too much of it is slanted reporting. The people of the EU are going to suffer energy shortages this winter, they have only the EU Commission to blame for that.
