Just a mention for travelers that tipping in Slovenia isn't necessary. It's normal to give as much as the price says and the waiters won't be mad or anything, it's normal. Maybe in very fancy restaurants, it's nice to leave a tip but there is no need anywhere else. But nobody is going to stop you from tipping, so it's for you to decide if you want to or not.

@@emilytsp6689 Yeah so turistic places like Kranjska Gora, Bled, Bohinj and other are generally a bit more expensive. Ljubljana is by far the most expensive. The catch is that you can stay a few km away or on the outskirts and get super cheap prices. And dont come the first and second to last weekend of March as there are two sport events which drives the prices up. Hope it helped

the reason why every Slovenian thinks everything is expensive here in Slovenia is because our salaries are lower. you find more expensive stuff where the salaries are higher (thats why some products dont have the same price everywhere). so for someone that comes from a country where they have higher salaries (therefore more expensive products) our prices are quite low.

U may think that Slovenia is a expensive country ( okay u re right ) but u have to know how are the salaries here ( shitty, that s why i moved out :D ) 4. Nex time when u re in Slovenija and u wanna see how cheap it is , try going in villages and guesthouses there, cause u were in the tourismus district in Slovenia now ( word of advice : next time try Koper for example and ull see straight away what i mean and it is a coastal town aswell ) , but for the real experience try Štajerska region ( Ptuj and the soroundings or Prekmurje ( Murska Sobota )

Normally the price for a room at a hotel for 1 person or 2 person is the same, since most rooms are designed for two people. But it depends a lot. For example in this case it was a room with a single bed for just 1 person, so the double room for two people would have been a little more.
