Helloooo everybody!! My name is Lyra and I am an American expat living in Slovenia. I've created this channel to share my life in Slovenia, my travels, and the tasty morsels that I find or make along the way.
I'd love to inspire positive change in folks' lives with my content, so let's come together and see what we can achieve! :D
xoxo

Black Friday is about as terrifying a tradition as I've taken part in. I'm glad you included it, as it's at least as terrifying as the goblins trying to chop down the World Tree!

My family always made Potica (with cinnnamon and walnuts) for Christmas, following my great great grandmother’s handwritten recipe. I still make it to this day and share it with my six-year-old son as part of his birthday celebration (he was born on the 22nd of December). I’d love to find a lady from Slovenia that can make a great Potica to go with my coffee, but that’s not easy for an American lol.

This is great! I love winter skies. The dark blue and bright stars, the crisp feeling in the air. Also, food. Thank you for sharing the food from Slovenia. Would love to know about the food, food culture, and more. =)

I think we only celebrate St.Nick, and that's when most of the gift exchanging happens. Christmas can depend. A lot of families don't celebrate it, and the gifts usually include chocolate or oranges. Same with Grandpa Frost.
