My family always made Potica (with cinnnamon and walnuts) for Christmas, following my great great grandmother’s handwritten recipe. I still make it to this day and share it with my six-year-old son as part of his birthday celebration (he was born on the 22nd of December). I’d love to find a lady from Slovenia that can make a great Potica to go with my coffee, but that’s not easy for an American lol.

Interesting that you said 'adijo' is similar to [the French] 'adieu' or [the Spanish] 'adios' but you did not mention the Italian 'addio'... very likely the real origin of the Slovenian 'adijo' [which btw ultimately derives from the Latin 'a deus', like all other examples, including Portuguese 'adeus'].

Black Friday is about as terrifying a tradition as I've taken part in. I'm glad you included it, as it's at least as terrifying as the goblins trying to chop down the World Tree!

Hi Lyra, greetings from Australia. Would love to make this recipe as it seems very similar to what mum used to make. Can you please tell me how many grams of active dry yeast was used as…teaspoon measurements can differ in various countries. Hoping to hear back from you soon. Many thanks Slavica.

I’m wanting to grow my shaved sides out. But I have my hair up for work, I’m worried about that grow out showing, hopefully it grows quick. When I was 23 I had SHORT pixie hair. I’m 29 now and it’s just below the top of my crack 😝

So I have watched a few of your videos, and I am currently trying to find out how to pronounce “In še vedno vstanem”, and I still get up/rise. Wondering if there is any way I could get some answers on here. There is not much on the “vst” usage online. 🤦🏻♀️😫 Thanks for the awesome video!

I think we only celebrate St.Nick, and that's when most of the gift exchanging happens. Christmas can depend. A lot of families don't celebrate it, and the gifts usually include chocolate or oranges. Same with Grandpa Frost.
