This is going to be my first time in hell in the four times I've beaten the game but I didn't really do 100% because I thought that's all there is to it. But no, I'e decided to come on YT and search up how to beat cave story 100% and this channel is the most detailed and easier to understand plus you did everything and went through step by step

When would be the best time to use the life pot? I don’t want to use it as a crutch to get through a section I could fairly easily learn to get through without much damage, but I also don’t want to spend 12 hours mastering a particular section when using the life pot would make it more manageable.

I honestly don't even remember using it much ever You could just keep it for the boss fight if you intend to use it, because getting hearts in the area isn't difficult and you can cheese them somewhat
