I've had this beat (acoustics) tune stuck in my head for a decade. Unclear of the words. By luck, came across this online sight. Have a head injury, which leaves me with a terrible memory. Grew up in the early 1980's in L.A. Listening to KROQ.. . LOVED IT! Thanks! I can enjoy this music in full! :)

I, too, have had my cognition "reconfigured" for the same reason. My prior abilities at quoting, chapter-and-verse (in perfect-pitch, apparently) every lyric/song I'd ever heard has been damaged. Aphasia is a Thing. At least I don't stutter like Mel Tillis anymore - although who didn't LOVE Mel Tills? Such a nice bloke. Am still recovering and reworking whatever I can. As recommended by Neurologists: daily 'Essential Fatty Acid' supplementation is a great aid for everyone's brain. My recovery is going well... for what it is. Wish you well.

I remember finding a cassette tape that had a portion of this song recorded off the radio but I never knew the title nor the artist. I called KROQ and played back the recording over the phone to see if they could recognize it. I was surprised and disappointed when the person told me "It's on the tip of my tongue but I just can't place the song or the artist, sorry." Luckily I came across it. Other great KROQ classics are "Janitor" by the Suburban Lawns and "X-Ray Eyes" by 3D!
