Slow Crawl Motor Comparison - Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Pro 16t vs Standard 45t motor

In this video I am showing the slow crawl performance difference between the ‪@HolmesHobbies‬ Crawlmaster Pro 16t and a standard motor that comes with the truck.
I will be using my ‪@RC4WDMedia‬ Trail Finder 2 short wheelbase, with the single speed transmission and 10 tooth pinion on the motors for the demonstration.

I use to buy HH motors only but I seem to have terrible luck with them. went through 3 of the Torque Masters 45T in one year so I put in a $9.00 RC4WD 45T and it's still going strong pushing 3 - 4 years end of this summer, I hope I didn't jinx myself saying it LOL I still think HH is great product I run there ESC pushing 4 years no problems but for some reason the motors are a no go for me. Great side by side comparison and love the jeep

I have had good luck with the cheap motors too. This was the first time I've tried a Crawlmaster. There is a big difference, in price too. Such a pleasure to slow crawl with though. Thanks for watching Paul

I'm just wondering how do these Tyres stack up against the 1.55 falken tyres

The rubber is a lot softer than the Falken tires and so are the foams. They conform to rocks better but also slightly roll on a side hill, almost too soft but depends on how heavy your rig is too. Hope this helps

@@albertascaletruck6802 well on my short road base JK which is based on a Land Rover d90 considering the amount of stuff I'm going to be doing to her she's going to have a low center of gravity and a lot of weight which includes an ARB roof rack which is going to be fully loaded up plus having the camper trailer that I have modified which has the rear cab tray of a Toyota 79 so therefore I can put all my camping stuff plus she's going to have a little three-cell lipo just to run LEDs lights so yeah she's going to be quite heavy so that's why I want to hopefully put 1.55's on her and I was really liking the falken at3w due to it s grippy durability nature considering I'm going to be moving to the sunshine coast so the truck is probably going to see a lot of beach driving which is why I was liking these tires rather than going to a mud terrain tire as they would tend to dig in more in the sand The shocks I have chosen are just 80mm shocks just to keep the weight down low

I don't mean to be rude but what's the deal with RC4WD trucks. I've crawled with RC4wd trucks and they don't do well against my Element RC or even my redcat gen8, but they cost so much more

Rc4wd trucks are designed to be realistic, they have leaf springs and hard bodies. Yes Element, Redcat, Axial, Traxxas all perform better, they are designed to be the best rock crawler. Very big difference

So they are more trailing trucks; I get that. I don’t want to completely get rid of scale detail on my crawler for all out performance.

You could also find it more challenging to pick your lines with a Scale/LeafSpring crawler. Enjoy the ride!
