@@Bwizz245 Usually, my dreams do mean something. Usually that I need to control my anxiety. Occasionally they enlighten me on my worst fears. I mean, there's no other reason I would dream of becoming a horrifying murderous man-eating shapeshifter while a volcano erupts and covers the country in ash, as people try to murder people I care about. Where the shape shifting came in, I don't know, but I am afraid of the rest of those in some form, usually debilitating anxiety. Especially the one where I become a murderous psychopath. Why my brain needs to explore these possibilities, I don't know, but it's certainly irritating. Fun times.

There is a deep irony in the music writing here in relation to the time signatures. He is asking us to slow down, yet he consistently chooses to cut off of the last beat on some of the bars. Wurtz is creating an effect in the music that "skips" us forward in time to the next bar, essentially speeding us up. The easiest example of this is the last 11 bars that are written in 7/4. The more insane areas are closer to the start where he is not simply cutting the bars off one beat early, he will cut them off a half a beat early, AND without warning. You end up with really difficult to count bars and the only way you can really describe it is with halves in the time signature like 5.5/16, or 3.5/4 because the rest of the bar before the end is not actually subdivided smaller than the previous bar. For the 15/8 section it was so difficult I just gave up trying to figure it out by ear and just guessed it for the whole section. Would love to know if anyone else has tried to figure out that puzzle. Funk Section 2 and 3 have the 6/8 bars with triplets near the end, also creating the effect of speeding up rather than slowing down. Then right after you get a 2/4 bar that trips you up. It is almost like you went to fast and got dizzy. Funk Section 2 and 3 have some interesting stuff in the middle, but it doesn't deviate from 4/4, almost as if he is holding back just how bonkers he could have made this song, getting progressively simpler towards the end, as if he himself is slowing down his writing. This whole composition is brilliant. Intro Arpeggios: 4 bars 4/16 ("timekeeping) 1 bars 5.5/16 Funk Section 1: 3 bars 4/4 ("Look at the time") 1 bar 3.5/4 1 bar 15/8 ("slow it right off the wall") Funk Section 2: 18 bars of 4/4 ("my hat is bent") 2 bars of 6/8 ("and the world goes round") 1 bar of 2/4 Funk Section 3: 18 bars of 4/4 ("inside the video") 2 bars of 6/8 ("then the roof blew off again") 1 bar of 2/4 Outro 1: 9 bars 4/4 ("and the hurricanes") Outro 2: 11 bars 7/4 ("Going very very really slowly now...")

I just managed to listen to Bill's stuff for the first time in months without feeling pangs of guilt. I won't bore anyone with the details, but my ex left me for my best friend about 6 months ago, and we bonded over Bill's content so much. Every time I would hear his voice, I would think about my ex. 0:53 "I'm going to hell but I'm late for it. But I'll slow down... and talk about it." For lyrical nonsense, this is genuinely accurate to so many people.... They're well overdue for hell, but they're trying their best to dawdle. It's not so much talking it out and figuring how to fix their direction in life, however, so much as it is broadcasting their sin, bragging about how evil they are in a society which rewards just that. Like the murderer who bragged about shooting a Patriot Prayer member in the back to VICE.... Proudly going to hell, but he didn't intend to get there quite so fast.

This song is actually very meaningful. It talks about how we must slow down in life sometimes. At the end of the song, he talks about reporters who are busy making news and others who are busy in life. Just before that, he talks about hurricanes and roofs being blown off. This indicates apocalypse. The apocalypse will eventually happen. Our world will be turned into dust. We will leave no trace on this earth. If so, then why are we so busy? Why can't we take life slowly sometimes? Our business will have no effect on the world, so the best way to live is to just enjoy it. When we die, we will regret not having enjoyed life, so enjoy it and take things slowly. That's the best life.

In this song bill is ultimately saying you're time is short, and in that time, you'll make mistakes. Then fix them and make possibly even worse mistakes. And in your time, don't constantly keep yourself busy just, well. Slow down. And we make mistakes, and we talk about our mistakes, and we analyze them. And continue to make them. Because we are human. And we can dedicate our lives to figuring out where the time went. Or find out what the time is now. Or at least that's what I take from this. Good job bill, continue making art. Thanks for all the likes! Wowza also, j just wanna say if I did ruin your wacky party sorry.. i just thought I'd voice my opinion

My theory on the video making process is that it's symbolic of his actual video making process. He starts by going to his lake of video ideas, writes them down, than figures out how they could work and refines them, than the exploit a computer glitch could be recording them and animating, than he takes a break, continues and finishes the project after spending some time away from it, than finally has the video compleated.
