Thanks to Reverend Gary Davis, we have a wonderful guitar rendition of the concluding piece from Scott Joplin's ragtime opera "Tremonisha," about a free black woman fighting corruption and social blindness. I often employ the instrumental as a break between verses of Leadbelly's "Take Your Hands Off Her." Love the control of the dynamics here displayed in moving from the single-note to the syncopated fingering.
