Probably flerfers will call fake because it's fast forward, but they will soon release a full 24 hours uncut video to the public, that's when things will get interesting.

They call it fake because there are other 24/ho Antarctica sun timelapses where the sun behaves in different ways. Here it slightly moves up and down only when covered by something, otherwise doesn't raise or go down for 5 days: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apLZYnZ6bdigf6ssi=40EmMbmOlquLJRT8 Here vanishes behind poles: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6eVpnlreKtpisksi=e4AQJvxAMBc8Vncr

@@BernasconiDerLangobard Your first video link is from the south pole station. This video is from 10.26° north of the south pole, so you expect the sun to go 10.26° higher at noon than at 6am and 10.26° lower at midnight than at 6pm. The 6am and 6pm elevations would be at the average. Expected noon altitude is 33.5° and midnight altitude is expected to be 13°. In your second video from McMurdo (about the same latitude as Union Glacier) the sun does go higher and lower. For the second video, the sun's angular diameter is only 0.5° in the sky, so anything about that width will momentarily block the sun. A 1.5" diameter pole about 6' away from the camera covers 1.2°. This is something you can test yourself with your own camera rig. The only thing blocking the sun in the video you are commenting on is Dave's big head.

@@MichaelOninesIn the first video you notice minor movements by using a fixed mark on the screen. It only moves up and down when covered by something, which suggests editing. I really never tested the sun vanishing like that behind a pole. In this video, at 0:36, you can still see the white glow, which is absent when the sun is behind the pole in the second video I mentioned: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3vccp6Gq5hmrZosi=r5b_B-9onMgBGtIY

So do the sun moon and stars move in the same direction or not?
@SwaaallaGE18 күн бұрын
Yes, the rotation is the same for all. Only difference is that the stars are 4 minutes slower and the moon is 50 minutes slower and on an angle.
@thedayhayfilms18 күн бұрын
@ ok so what direction is that counter clockwise or clockwise in the south?
