Thank for sharing your space! It's always nice to see how people live in other places. Might I suggest, if you haven't already, look at some ikea couches that have built in storage. I too have 2 small children, and this space helps a lot with storing their toys (and they can reach it easily on their own so they can clean up at the end of the day)! ☺️

Ich liebe die manuelle Kaffeemühle, die ist der Hammer. Handgemahlener Kaffee schmeckt richtig gut. Dieses Video zeigt, mit wie wenig an Platz und Besitz man auskommen kann, wenn man will (oder muß). Ich wünsche euch beiden für eure Zukunft als Familie alles Gute und viel Glück. Es gibt schöne Regale speziell für Mikrowellen. Dann könntet ihr drunter und drüber auch noch was stellen.

It is very nice that you appreciated the coziness of our apartment. :) To answer your question - yes, after putting the kids to bed we are in the kitchen all the time. We turn on the garland and drink tea, talk, play board games or watch movies on the laptop.

That just applies to council housing not private rentals/people with mortgages - and is completely ridiculous in my view (as someone who shared a bedroom with three siblings (mixed sexes until our mid-teens - we had a great laugh).
