Those people are just cosplaying being poor that's a whole bunch of rich fucks now they just pretend to be poor and common folk like hey i live off grid like the poors in the past!!, meanwhile they got a 6500sq ft cabin with LP generator and geothermal heating and shit that is just 250k to think about getting started.
@JacobKinsley5 ай бұрын
Off the grid for them means they step foot outside more than once a week
@skinwalker694204 ай бұрын
God it's so depressing how words lose their meaning, off the grid used to mean you were a Ted Kaczynski type, woke used to mean pretty much the same thing as based does now back in the 2018 dank meme era (before impact font got its return, back when the area 51 raid was being hyped up, 🅱️ meme etc) when people first started using it before 24 hour news picked it up and turned it into the monster of a loaded term it is today, reddit became a website kids go to after seeing TTS readings of r/AskReddit, it's like I'm watching everything I once knew slowly eroding away as I get older, and I'm only 17. I used to kinda admire off-the-grid type folks, with stuff like documentaries of Independent people growing corn up in Alaska, until I realized, it's all bullshit. It's always been bullshit. They have internet, they have a camera crew with the documentary types, they at the bare minimum have contact to the outside world. You know what all of this is? Surrogate activity. Off-the-gridders, tradwives, slow living girlies, whatever they call themselves now, they're grifters, using the idea of true freedom, freedom to really go out there and live life to make advertising revenue. It's sickening.

My type of slow living is to work on perfecting 8 skills at once, using ChatGPT to explain confusing concepts with math analogies that also teach me math in the process, developing video games that I use to make movies with assets made by AI image generators that produce waveforms that I use to make audio for my new Album which I post on soundcloud, tik tok, youtube music and spotify, using algorithms and technologies to game the platform and increase attention. And just before I pass out from exhaustion I treat myself with a slow living style break snuggled up with a blanket, 4 warm mugs of lattes drunk back to back with full fat milk and popping a handful of L theanine to slow my heart rate as I close my eyes and listen to podcasts about how my life is a mess and I lack discipline by someone who's main source of income is telling people their lives are a mess and they lack discipline. Ahh, slow living!

oh yeah, another reason the "stay at home gf lifestyle" thing bothers me.... my mum has been a stay at home mum since I was born, and that was a decision my parents came to together, they felt that it was the best way and frankly y when I hear about the cost of childcare from colleagues now, I think they were prolly right. Honestly life was different then and on their paychecks today, they wouldn't be able to do it. But my point is that mum HAS worked (hell she even worked a couple yrs ago)...
@ezraf.77595 ай бұрын
Nobody that makes the choice to be a stay at home mom(or even dad) is doing it because its easy and fun. Theyre probably doing it so they don't have to dump their kids off at daycare or leave em in the care of strangers both of aren't free, or the kids themselves are little monsters constantly getting in trouble for bs reasons at school needing to be picked up every other day, like I was, which makes holding down a job damn near impossible. But that 2nd income usually comes in the form of meager government assistance, there's no shot 1 hardworking man's check is enough for 3 people anymore, its barely enough for 1.
