This is a QSO I had 18 days after first getting on air using slow CW.
The morse code is decoded, so listen and learn!
Some mistakes was made but eventualy pulled it off.
Decoding is added for educational purpose. Maybe this wideo can help you on your way to head copy with instant character recognition.
Thank you G4XWR for the nice QSO at about 16 wpm.

what do these random letters mean? why he gives something like g4xwr ge tnx ur rst rst 589 589 name is... instead of talking immediately? or he's giving some kind of his nickname? I am new to this topic so sorry for stupid questions

Than you for asking. I should probably make a video of the topic. G4XWR is his ham radio call sign. Mine is LB8IJ. GE is short for God Evening, TNX is thanks, ur is you are, rst means resception strength tone and is the way we give a signal reportasje in ham radio. The following Numbers are the signal report. 599 would be the best. Thank you for your interest! Hope to see you an the radio some day!

@@LB8IJ Ohh I see, interesting, thank you! Why was "rst" and "589" doubled tho? Or it's just to make sure you receive the proper information?

@@PinkeySuavo yes, its just repetition to make sure the message gets through.
