I just want to say I REALLY appreciate these videos; I’ve haven’t been active for a few years; but I told myself this year is the year I finally learn CW. These videos are helping me understand QSOs. I told myself once I can copy 7.5 WPM reliably I’m buying myself a new HF rig. It’s been almost 10 years since I sold my last one!

Other than the random speed freaks, it was a great vid!
@JIMISPIER9 күн бұрын
The op (DF4J) is the type that bother me. It is obvious by the number of repeats that he isn't getting the message and is replying much slower. DF4J should have sent as slow or slower to make sure the receiving station can actually copy the message. This is about message accuracy, not wagging your dick around the airwaves. I'm trying to re-learn CW after 30 years and these are the type of operators that make me not want to practice CW. I'm a former Navy Signalman, we would never to do this to a shipmate trying to practice his craft.
@JIMISPIER9 күн бұрын
Plus people like DF4J seem to get annoyed at the many repeats. The whole thing would have been done and over much sooner if you would have reduced your speed and sent at a level he could comfortably copy. These people step on their own foot and then blame the other person... Brilliant!
@LB8IJ8 күн бұрын
Nice to here you are getting back into CW. I agree sometimes the qso takes longer because the higher speed demands more repeats. Don’t let the speedy stations discourage you. Most stations are nice and match the speed. Hope to see you on the bands some day! 73

@LB8IJ25 күн бұрын
Its prosigns, ur = you are, rst = readability signal strength, ga = good afternoon… it is not to many of them and actually makes It easier to copy when you get used to them. One of the first thing people tend to learn is the sound of cq before learning the letters c and q. Good luck on your cw!

@LB8IJАй бұрын
I dont have a schedule for when, but I’ll share more as son as possible. I must also say that this is wery mutch stil under development, and it does not compete with an ATAS from yaesu. It is not suted for mobile mounting. So if you can aford one, go buy one from yaesu. But if you like me like to experiment and build stuff, I would love to see your take on this antenna😃
