I worked for M&S IT head office when John Lewis released this advert. Everyone knew they had blown us out of the water with the excellence, filming, creativity, music and storytelling with this advert. I am not sure if M&S has ever recovered when it comes to promotion of the Festive Season 🎄

The thing is: once you put something out for public consumption, every person is going to have their own interpretation of it. Every person that reads the same book, reads a different story.
