A friend of mine sings this whenever he feels lonely, and whenever he does you can always see the tears streaming down his face.. he tries his best not to cry whenever he sings but he just does. I truly do love the Deftones version, but it will never hit the same way this does. Especially in this live version, the despair and emotion in Morissey’s voice is priceless. He sings it so well like he’s hurting from the bottom of his heart, he’s clearly on the verge of crying and I think that’s beautiful. There aren’t many lyrics to the song but then again his voice describes the feeling so well, like truly just wanting one thing and one thing only. Haven’t had a dream in long time. Man it’s sucks when this line relates to you. It felt like every night was a dark abyss until finally I had an amazing dream. My biggest want came true. I had a beautiful wife and newborn and I was holding them both while going to sleep. I never felt such at peace and so much joy. Than I woke up to the reality of being alone.
