Tsunami slow pitch rod is also a great rod for the price. I guess it’s not a purist slow pitch rod but it has the action to pitch the jig and I’ve done good with it so far. Eventually going to upgrade.

I'm about to get into SPJ! I just ordered a Shimano Ocea Jigger F Custom 2001NRHG from Japan. I plan on fishing the Gulf of Mexico using 100-250g jigs. Looking to pair the reel with an Seafloor control JAM rod 3 Force. Thoughts?

ocea jigger 2000 is heavy for slow jigging rod. its 20oz. for convetional rod buy 15oz reel for slow rod, and small round reel is better to handle. Somebody buy Acurrate tern 500 narrow for slow rod, but sale because big rounds size. Buy 2000 shimano ocea f custom, sale, because 20oz heavyweights

In the end all blue rods will get the job done some are spiral, there is one that you can remove the butt, all work the same way if you are right handed buy the left hand spiral o just regular, 1 or 2 pieces won't make a difference
