Howdy, Janet! Thank you for the shout out for my Happy Bird Nest video! I just loved making that scrappy little nest. How gorgeous are the flowers you bought at the farmers' market! From here the yellow flowers look like tansy. A teasel and tansy bouquet... lovely. Here "allotments" are called "community gardens". And many communities do have them. My stepmother lives in "Chelsea"... chuckle... a section of New York City... and I found their community garden in the middle of the hustle and bustle of such a large city to be amazing. I'll have to add some "Seeds of Hope" to my "Birds of Hope" slow stitched collection! Yesterday I saw the hummingbird at the first sunflower to open in my garden! Blessings & Bubbles...ooo🌼🌼🌼

Oh Patty I love that, a teasel and tansy bouquet, it’s now hanging upside down drying. Just make sure you’re little bird of hope doesn’t eat all those seeds of hope. It is a wonderful thing to be in nature when you live in a large town /city. You’re garden is beautiful I noticed the ferns on you’re last video. happy journaling ( oh a hummingbird drinking nectar from you’re sunflower, now that was a sight ) 🌻

Lindsey thank you for you’re lovely kind words, never any pressure to comment. I am so glad you enjoyed the allotments , they must work so hard to keep it looking so colourful and plentiful, the friendly gentleman in the flat cap was saying his favourite time is the winter when the leaves have fallen and he can look out and see the view. Of the park. We live in a very built up town so we do appreciate it so much. ❤️ ( Brighton not far from us )
I have been checking the allotments out as Freddie and I walk past, there seems to be lots growing, very green, we have had sunshine and rain. It’s good to remind ourselves isn’t it ‘ you’ve got this ‘ 🩵🫖

@@janetnash If we're talking about the same company, they're from Copenhagen and have stores in many countries but the pandemic made a bad situation worse here in the US. They always had such good crafting stuff at very reasonable prices. I'm having my monthly zoom with my origami gal pals today and lunch with another one tomorrow. She always gifts me with excess greeting cards and calendars that she gets when she makes charitable donations and they make wonderful journal fodder. I'm having a couple of relax weeks which I need to get grounded again. Always slow stitching although last night I harvested some magazines I was gifted from a library I taught at. Tonight while watching TV I'm going to go through 2 boxes of vintage greeting cards that I got for $.25...... yes..... 25 cents!!!! Such wonderful images! I'm so scattered with what I'm doing...... a dozen projects all going on at the same time plus some much needed attention to my garden. While in Maine I harvested seaweed to compost. Processing that took all morning and I'm pooped!!!! But I hope it will help my tomatoes.🍅🍅🍅

I was so thrilled to see the allotment. I listened on audible a book by Cathy Bramley called "Ivy Lane" which centered around an allotment where things grow with love and care just like the vibes shown in your video. It must be a wonderful place to share with other community members. Allotments must be similar to community gardens which we have here in Canada, but perhaps we don't have as many.

i have those small letter stamps and i always manage, once i have inked one, to have at least one side of it appear on my substrate along with the particular letter.. In your word HOPE for example i noticed in the second letter i believe it was you inked there was one side which had the letter and just one line but the other three letters came out inked side free..........I'm going to try running my stamp back and forth across the ink pad lightly as you showed here in this video vs my method of applying CPR ( lol ) to each of my stamps onto the stamp pad and then onto the substrate ...i see your technique offers a less hard handed approach. What i have been doing was wiping off the sides before pressing down... what a bother lol lol i am always learning at your vids and lives.
